So I'm not quite sure if it was this subway in particular or if the new changes at Subway have ruined the restaurant. I got to the restaurant an hour before close. They only had one type of bread left. I asked for a chicken bacon ranch melt. The kid at the counter asked me if I wanted it toasted with all the veggies and I said no.. so he proceeds to put the meat and cheese (no extra cheese like a true melt is supposed to have) in a container to toast it.. I'm like excuse me, I wanted the bread toasted too, please. The kid rudely replies.. "you said you just wanted the meat and cheese." Of course I'm used to the restaurant just toasting my bread along with the meat and cheese. Lol Anyways I ignored him being rude. He was young. I continued to be polite and I let him know that I didn't know the way the new menu worked.. assuming this was some sort of change to the normal way of doing things. I look at my sandwich when it comes out and there is meat on about 2/3 of my sandwich. Probably the least amount of meat I have ever received on a Subway sub. The cheese was definitely not double.. and when I got back to my room I realized the kid forgot my bacon. I understand mistakes are made, but I also gotta tolerate rude teenagers? Something needs to change here..
Melts are extra... I paid extra for a below...
Read moreI ordered a sandwich for my son and another for myself and wanted it on flat bread but it was on regular bread when I received it. I explained the situation and she got very rude with me and said if I want it on flat bread sheâll have to charge me. I asked if I could have the district managers contact info she said yes. She then went in the back and was gone for roughly 5 minutes then came back out to the front and said âi tried to call my boss and she didnât answerâ I said okay can I have her number so I can call. She responded âno, I canât give her phone number outâ then I asked if I could speak to the manager she replied âi am the managerâ I said well this is horrible customer service she replied â really sir cause I donât think soâ I said Iâm not gonna argue Iâll get in contact of your boss myself can I have your name and store number she wrote it down on a piece of paper then flinged it at me and said have a nice day. Her name was Crystal Kirchgessner it was around 2pm. It was unbelievable how this lady treated a paying customer and supposedly she was the manager. Worst experience I ever had with a fast food restaurant. Then after I get home I open my sandwich to find a lady bug in it. I'm local and this place lost me and my families business and I urge you...
Read moreAs someone from the area if you are a tourist STAY AWAY from this subway, (there is one in Dale 8 mins away, one in Ferdinand 12 mins away, and one in Huntingburg 15 mins away) they do the bare minimum to keep their franchise and rely upon the location next to holiday world to make business. If there is a special thing out like chibata bread for instance they won't do the typical thing where you can just add 29 cents to the regular 6 inch of that sandwich to get it on chibata, instead they will FLAT OUT REFUSE to give u that meat on there because "there is no button for it" so if u want a veggie or ham chibata you are out of luck.
This is not a one time thing though. Back when they first did eggs at subway they told me I couldn't put eggs on a chicken sandwich, how asinine is that? One of the only benefits to a franchise over a local place is you can expect the same thing on the menu each time you go, but at this one that is not the case. I say they either start to do the recommended menu subway asks for or they lose their franchise and allow a local place to open up at this location. I'll drive the 8 mins to DALE to make sure I can get what I want, I advise all tourist to...
