I visited and ordered an extra large pizza, (Extra cheese, double ground beef, double Italian sausage, mushroom and onion) not only was the phone call a farse, where I was not informed about them no longer putting ground beef on pizzas, but was also confused about how my onions are served; caramelized or regular. I said regular as previously I ordered a pizza and a girl informed me that “regular” onions are what they put on the pizza - so that’s why I chose that option. Neither here nor there.

I placed the order and left it at that, I get there and then I am informed of how they do not add ground beef to pizzas yet was asked if I wanted it remade and then put on???? WHAT???? Why wasn’t it made as I ordered it the first time? That’s another issue. The next was the pizza; no double toppings, it was greasy (overly greasy), like the meat had not been drained prior to placing it upon the pizza……Absolutely lazy. The meat was not only greasy and making my pizza overall soggy while giving it a weird aftertaste, with grease dripping off my slice. This meat was UNDERCOOKED??! Seriously mushy and undercooked. Which is not only lazy but horribly dangerous. Moving on to the lazy raw onion on top. Yes, raw onion, that was sliced like it was going on a burger. Mind you, this has never happened before. Usually my pizza is very good. But I can tell why it wasn’t…..My issue with this pizza is that the usual cook, a man that previously worked in the kitchen at Morningstar of Santa Fe, who is a very sweet, an overall hard working employee who takes pride in his meals. I cannot say enough good things about him! Unfortunately he wasn’t working and it was two women whom I have had issues with in the past. These two would rather talk with one another over doing their job. Which is very sad. Unfortunately it is hard to find good help.

These two woman are constantly gossiping rather than working the kitchen. As you can see from my review that I am not at all pleased by that. It is simply bad business. I always have issues with both of them. And I can assure you I most likely won’t be coming back to Joe’s Diner in the near future. Unless these two girl cooks know how to just do their job, which frankly……I don’t see that happening any time soon. These cooks are giving Joe’s Diner a KITCHEN PROBLEM. Thank you for absolutely...

If I could give a 1 star for the service and owner I definitely would 9/21/2024 me and my crew went in for a quick lunch break as we are working along the road near the diner. We went in thinking it was a very nice chill diner mind you I travel for work I’ve been to numerous numerous diners and have never been approached nor talked to the way the that gentlemen could I even say that I can’t . He wasn’t a gentle man or a good fella. After having issues with paying the bill due to them not knowing what Apple Pay was or tap they looked at each other I said it’s good we can pay with card my crew member had his physical card so he went on proceeded to pay. As we walk out hope in our truck to get the next 5 hours down for work the owner or manager came out saying if there was a issue with the meals or service we simply said no everything was good. (HIS NEXT RESPONSE WAS IS THERE A REASON WHY YOU DIDN'T GIVE GRATITUDE TO OUR WAITER) I was simply struck like why would he come out and ask for a tip very disrespectful. I even said nicely I didn’t pay if I would have I would have game a 5 dollar tip his next response was (IF YOU CANT GIVE GRATITUDE PLEASE DO NOT COME BACK. That is the craziest shit I’ve heard and as I proceed to drive away he takes videos and pictures of my work truck as if I left with out paying 😂 the audacity in that guy fewwwww definitely will be taking my business else we’re. We work for a utility company aside PNM it’s ridiculous how he even said wouldn’t you want a tip for your work yeah buddy cuz I work on poles and depend on tips get a load of this crap and yes everything is recorded on a...

My family and I came here last September. We drove in from Albuquerque for a Santa Fe day. It was so good last year! We had delicious burgers and our son even enjoyed the atmosphere. Today, we came in to town, and decided to eat here again. My husband and I both ordered burgers and the kiddo got grilled cheese. And that's where our issues began. The grilled cheese that came out was not the kids, so it had green Chile on it. They brought out a new one, for kids, but with no fries. We ordered fries to share and then a separate kids fry for my son. The burgers were really dry, and we decided to let the side of kids fries go. When my husband went to correct the order with the waiter, he was told we'd get $4 taken off since we ordered a kids grilled cheese not the regular one. Then when the waiter came back, he said he spoke to the owner of the restaurant and we only received $2 off for a mistake that was not ours. And, after we told the other waiter who brought our food out that the food was incorrect, it seemed like that wasn't communicated to our regular waiter. So, our regular waiter didn't even directly address the issue, until my husband tried to get the order corrected.

My husband and I love diners. We loved coming here last year and the food was excellent, the service was excellent and that's what brought us back. After today, I'm not sure that we'll come back. Which is unfortunate because of our first experience here, and the overall atmosphere is great. At the end of this, we paid $70 without tip and the food was wrong, and not made very well and the service wasn't...

We knew this locals-centric spot as Joe”s Diner before it morphed to Joe’s Dining several years ago. At that time it was probably viewed as more of a lunch choice, and it still has the burgers, BLT (with A too if you are so inclined), grilled cheese Sammy, diner vibe, and great service. But the fact that it was Joe’s Diner long before it became “Dining” is a testament to this restaurant’s staying power and loyal following. Dinner offerings range from surprisingly inexpensive pasta plates to pizzas that pass muster with my wife (no small feat), to comfort foods, like brisket, meatloaf, and a mushroom and onion-smothered Salisbury-ish steak. The seating is both indoor and dog-friendly out, with roll-down weather screens in case of a July/August monsoon. We haven’t been regulars but plan to return regularly, for lunch or dinner.

My friend and I stopped in Santa Fe for a day last month, and on the recommendation of our hotel had lunch at Joe’s Dining. What a fun time! Rick and Baxter took great care of us; they welcomed us warmly, guided us through the menu, and checked on us often during our meal. Their service was fast, and the food was delivered with a smile. We both ordered the half-sandwich, half-salad combos, with iced tea to drink. I had a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich with avocado, and it was HEAVENLY. And my salad was very tasty, too—the house dressing was a tomato vinaigrette. My friend had the brisket sandwich which she found a bit dry, but the salad was excellent. The ambience was swell—like a 50s diner—and the music selections were from our youth. We had a great time!

Joe's is an interesting cafe, and when you consider Santa Fe, it makes perfect sense! This isn't just a diner like the name suggests. It has slight twists and variations to make it a different and fun variation on a theme! My first thought that this is the diner different was the Himalayan sea salt in the shakers, moving onto the menu added to it. I had a noon liver and onions, pasture finished by the way, plus 2 sided. I had a garlic mashed(whole garlic cloves made this a tasty side) and the best beer batter fried onion rings I've had the pleasure of sharing in a long time.
