Puerto Peñasco Restaurant — Restaurant in Santa Fe

Don't bother! I asked the server if the enchiladas were flat or rolled. She said they had both. I specifically asked for rolled enchilada's. The server told me that she was eating at the moment and her enchiladas were made rolled. When my plate came the enchiladas were flat. We called the server over. Her explanation was "my enchiladas were rolled, sorry". I let it go but the more I thought about it the more upset I became. I asked twice when placing the order for rolled. She took my plate back. It took approx. 10 min. before she came back out with my corrected plate with rolled enchiladas. (There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant with two people at the table). My plate was incomplete! It was missing the rice. The server was sitting at a booth with the hostess, another employee and a person we thought to be the cook. They couldn't see the floor well. My husband had to get up to get the waitress's attention. We let them know the the rice was missing. They did offer to bring a side of rice but by this time I was done. The restaurant was quiet except for the employees at the booth. They were very loud. This was our first time at this restaurant and we wanted to look over the menu. Our waitress told us to wave her down when we were ready. Really? The food wasn't that great. To their credit they did discount my husband's meal, which was the more expensive of the two. The waitress told us several times that things like this happen sometimes. WHAT?? Do yourself a favor and go...

Very disappointed with my experience. I ordered delivery based on some of these reviews. Definitely shouldn't have ordered fries but that's my fault, I knew better. My son had the mac and cheese and fries. He ate it with no complaints so I guess it was good. Can't really mess up kraft mac and cheese tho. I ordered chile rellenos with the sauce on the side.. and I'm so glad I did! The chile rellenos were delicious and perfect. I feel like the sauce would have ruined them because it was not tasty at all. I asked to sub fries for beans and rice but they did add the rice as well which I was ok with. Kinda shocked to see white rice, but it wasn't bad.. until I found a black hair in it🤢 kinda ruined it for me. For dessert, we ordered flan and this is the very first time I have been given a flan "cake". Kinda weird and not the texture of real flan that I love, but not bad tasting. Overall, I think I wouldn't return/ order delivery from this place. If this is the best mexican food in the area, I feel for the people...

This place seemed like a great choice at first. Traveling down the road wanting to get out of the rain, the reviews looked good. Why not stop here? Started out well, people were pleasant, service was coming along with a nice margarita. When the food came it was not awful but dry. Just like the drinks became. After a while I just decided to get up, go in the back and get my own. Apparently there is nothing wrong with that because there wasn't even anyone around to stop me. The rain started to go away and it was a good time to get back on the road. We were supposed to get dessert with out meal. Asked the server when she went by for that along with the check. Waited 15 minutes and then just went to the register to pay. Odd she was so attentive at first, but then just would walk by after we had our food. Even after flagging her she continued to wall away. Which made the rest of our party upset. Maybe something happened with her that we don't know about that distracted her mind. Either way, we will not be stopping...
