Visiting from out of town and needed a prescription filled over the weekend. My local Walgreens transferred my asthma medication to this location but they said it wouldnāt be ready until Monday. Iām not used to this elevation and have been struggling to breathe all weekend. I called the pharmacy but spend long times on hold with no answer. I hung up and called back only to have the staff pick up the receiver and hang up several times. I went to the pharmacy in person and they had the doors closed. The lights were on and I could hear people working but they were locked up tight. I asked a front store staff what was going on and they said he didnāt work in the pharmacy and didnāt know what was going on. I asked another person on the floor and they said that the pharmacist has called in several times and they canāt open without the pharmacist. They encouraged me to complain to corporate which I thought was weird. They recommended I visit the pharmacy on Cerrillos 5 min away. The staff at that store was much nicer but the pharmacy was closed. I attempted to go to the Walgreens on airport the next day (hoping they were open) since they had my RX, but again they were closed. I called the Walgreens on Cerrillos but they were slammed from overflow from the other store. Ultimately, I went to the Walgreens on St. Francis drive. That staff was nice and helpful and got my prescription filled. The staff at Airport all seemed fed up, impatient, and could care less. I was upset enough to look up the District Pharmacy Supervisor to complain, but can only imagine that their attitude reflects leadership. So I take to google instead to share my experience. Iād go to any other Walgreens in the area since these guys obviously could...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not use this pharmacy!!! In the 2 months Iāve been using this pharmacy theyāve been closed more than theyāve been open - In the past week they were unexpectedly closed all weekend, open for 1-2 days, and then closed again for the next week without warning. They canāt seem to keep staff needed to assist their pharmacists and as a result the pharmacists seem stressed and are short with the patients before jumping ship themselves. Iāve been trying to transfer my prescriptions out of this location for over two weeks and not only will they not return my calls, they wonāt return the calls of the pharmacy Iām trying to transfer my meds to. After having to go to this pharmacy in person twice (at least 5 other attempts were made but the pharmacy was closed during āopenā hours) to request they respond to cvs and transfer my meds they have yet to do anything, even after being told it was addressed. When I call Walgreens customer service Iām told the only way to transfer my meds is to have this location approve transfer, but this is impossible with them being closed constantly and refusing to follow through on the rare occasions they are available. I understand being short staffed, but if you canāt keep a pharmacy open maybe itās time to close this place down and figure out a better system to allowing patients to transfer medication to a pharmacy that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor many years Walgreens was our primary choice for prescriptions and incidental shopping. Rewards program was great, staff was professional and courteous, service was excellent. Today, it is hard to comprehend how a company can take such a dramatic nose dive into utter mediocrity and abysmal service. Walgreens went from our go to store to our no go store. Service is consistently poor, staff is poorly/inconsistently trained. Long delays is getting a prescription filled, long wait times to pick up prescriptions, errors in filling prescriptions, erratic and unpredictable pharmacy hours and apathetic staff. Then, the company taking political positions that cater to a vocal minority is simply too much. My family has moved on and rarely visit a Walgreen's store these days. Good riddance.
Just when you think service could not get any worse, this Walgreens has reached a new low. Had an antibiotic prescription that needed to be filled for a sick grandson. Pharmacy could not be bothered, they were too busy. Best they could do was after noon the following day. Mind you, no one in line at the counter, drive-up window had closed early once again. Clerk simply did not want to be bothered. The unfortunate aspect is that store management appears to think that this poor level of service is...
