The Ramblin Cafe in Santa Fe, NM, stands out as a genuinely authentic New Mexico establishment that I enthusiastically recommend. My recent visit was truly exceptional, largely due to their outstanding Red Chile and Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. This burrito was not only generously portioned but, more importantly, it was among the best I've ever had. Its exquisite flavor comes from perfectly cooked chorizo, entirely free of the sour aftertaste I've encountered elsewhere. In fact, the only other individuals I know who could achieve such chorizo perfection were abuelas from my own and other families, who cooked in the traditional New Mexican style of the past. The red chile was equally superb, adding another layer of authentic New Mexican flavor. The Ramblin Cafe has undeniably earned a permanent spot on my "must-go" list for truly authentic New...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. It is my favorite place to eat in all of Santa Fe. I think they have the very best green chili sauce in the whole city. And that's saying a lot! It's pretty much the closest you can get to cooking crack without breaking the law.
Great little family run hole in the wall cafe that is outrageously consistent with the quality of their very resobably priced dishes. Seriously, where else can you get huevos rancheros in Santa Fe for under 7 dollars!? Amazing value and even better flavor. I highly recommend this place for every reason why you would want to. Super friendly staff, clean, fast kitchen that you can see right into so you don't worry about what may be happening behind the scenes. All around perfect restaurant. Definitely try it. You won't regret it. Unless of course you can't handle the amazing heat of...
Read moreWe were there later Friday morning. No wait. Ordering is at a counter, Self seating. Plenty of seating in the dining area. The decor was simple, but interesting. Nothing fancy, just simple and clean. I ordered the Santa Fe omelet. It had crisp bacon and some of the best, and hottest, green chili over had in a restaurant. My wife ordered Carne Adovada. It looked like the red chili might have been added after cooking the meat rather than being simmered together. The red chili was pretty mild, at least in comparison to the green. The dish was tasty, but didn't compare with the green chili of the omelet. My wife doesn't handle spicy as well so it worked out for us. If you can handle the heat, come get something with the green chili. There are milder choices if your partner can't. If you can't handle the heat, there are...
