Cool Hand Luke's — Restaurant in Santa Maria

The Experience wasn't so bad as waiting for a table when you could see 15 to 20 of them outside nobody sitting at them. Then I asked for the heater to be turned on and it took five times before someone finally did. The young man who did turn the heater on was amazing and continue to come back and asked us if we needed anything. We ordered our orders first or appetizers I should say they were delicious we were very happy with what we got. However we then ordered the steak and bread because the orders had filled us up so much. It was ordered medium rare and we got it extra well done. Since I absolutely cannot enjoy anything that is that well-cooked I let them know told them I was kind of in a hurry because we have another place to go to they told me they could remake it in about 8 minutes. We waited and unfortunately this time it came back a little bit medium and instead of saying anything I just paid for our meal and I gave it to my dogs. It was rather tough. When the staff would spot us and see that I was trying to get their attention they were very responsive which was nice like I say the young man I believe his name was Jacob was extremely on it. Picking up dishes that were empty glasses that were empty asking if I want it more coffee excetera. So there were enough waitresses to handle the outside area it just seemed like it took a while to get them back to the table. Very good. Great flavor. Great plating. Going to a steak house that my fiance has been bragging about forever I expected the steak to be on point. Unfortunately it was the only thing uneatable. It was overcooked and oddly brown on the inside. Like it was old. Hard to touch. Didnt have that bounce to a rare steak. And tasted funny. Everything else was wonderful tho. The steak bites. On point. The coconut shrimp. On point. The steakhouse shrimp on point. Great portions of the broccoli. Everything was delicious. My fiance ordered his prime rib sandwich with no onions or mushrooms and it did in fact come loaded with onions. He'd already taken the first bite before he realized it had the onion and still ate and suffered thru his allergic reaction towards them. But he said it was good other then breaking out in his allergy. He said the aj ju sauce was on point. Becca was our server. She was good. Did her job. The manager was sweet. Took off the steak I couldn't eat and was sincere about the mistake of adding the onions. I would return and definitely try for that 5 Star experience. Because it was o to close. I'd return just for that coconut...

Very disappointed. We waited 50 minutes when told it was going to be 20-25 mins. I thought ok no worries things happen. Then we get seated. 10 mins later our server AJ stops by. I give order for 3 waters and as I begin to start telling him my food order, he cuts me off and says I will get your waters and be right back. He NEVER returned. We stood up and walked out after 20 mins. There were 2 parties near us being served by different servers. They were checked on, several times and got their meal orders taken and served while we were still waiting for our water which must have been imported from Fiji coz it was taking forever. I complained to the 2 girls at the front reception and they just nodded and said sorry but didnt offer to find out what was going on or even tried to keep us there with the hope of receiving better service thereafter. I am inclined to think it may have something to do with our skin color and I hate to say that. There can be no other explanation. All servers were busy but they checked on each of their tables as they should. I just...
