Santa Maria Burgers — Restaurant in Santa Maria

Their food is good, but HORRIBLE DRIVE-THRU SERVICE!!! We only ordered zucchini fries and onion rings. 3 cars in front of us, 2 had already ordered. We were stuck in the drive-thru for 20 minutes. 2 of the cars were each at the pick-up window for a very long time. Especially the car right in front of us. When we got to the window our food was already there. We asked if it was still hot since we didn't know how long it had been done. The girl replied very rudely, "it's still warm." We told her that drive-thru etiquette is if a customer has a large order and will take a long time, you should have them pull forward and take their food out to them when it is done. Taking care of the customers behind them instead of letting our food get cold. She sarcastically responds, "Well, do you just want your money back?" Had my first meal at SM Burgers today & WOW! Usually I am a total cheeseburger gal, but today I was in the mood for a Club Sandwich and I have to say I WAS NOT disappointed! This sandwich was huge! I opened the to-go box and saw 2 huge toasted sourdough/meat/cheese/tomato/lettuce pieces alongside a big serving of fries (with Ranch Dressing!), & I thought to myself: "how am I going to eat this much food?", but when I moved the fries there were 2 more portions of the sandwich underneath! And it was GREAT!!! Next time I am trying the Tuna Melt and after that the cheeseburger. It is a place where the food is so good you want to try each menu item! At first I thought there prices seemed a bit high, but after seeing the large portions and how yummy the food was, their prices are just right! I was treated very nicely and it was a good experience. I will definitely go back many times and can't recommend highly...

I'm not even sure what just happened, mind boggling! The staff was great, not blaming them, I actually felt bad for them because they were so embarrassed. So two vegans walk in to a bar.. just kidding, no laughing matter here! We have been vegan for years and years and we were just fed BEEF. They have a huge poster outside advertising "The Impossible Burger" suspiciously enough it says vegetarian and has pictures of milk and cheese on the bottom which the Impossible burger does not have, its 100% plants. Ordered, received our food. 100% beef!!! What in the world! The gal who I think is the manager tried to explain it off not realizing we just ate the flesh of a dead animal!! No no no, she tried to talk us in to a garden burger while I was about to lose my guts. This is no laughing matter! We are contacting Impossible burger now to see if they even deliver to them!?...
