I am very disappointed with this Starbucks. I don’t like writing bad reviews but I will make an exception. I stopped by the drive thru because there were no cars in line (BIG MISTAKE). I ordered two grande caramel macchiatos and two tall vanilla bean frappucinos with a cake pop and a chocolate chip cookie. Not only did they get my order wrong, but the cashier/barista at the window was very rude. She gave me three caramel macchiatos and one vanilla frappucino. I refused the third one and repeated my order. She insisted that I hadn’t ordered that. When I asked for my receipt, she gave me a look of disgust. She said I had to pay for the other Frappuccino. I told her just charge me the difference and she refused. I asked her again for my receipt and she said once I paid for the other drink I would get it. Normally I would have just asked for a refund and left but my two daughters really wanted the drinks. I paid for the second frappuccino with cash. When she gave me .15 cents change I asked for both my receipts and the refund on my card. The employee was clearly bothered for her own mistake and finally gave me my refund. This whole interaction could have been less than 10 minutes and easily resolved and a positive review. Instead it has turned into a negative review, one less customer (and possibly more because I will be telling everyone not to do business here). I very disappointed that an employee from such a prestigious company does not know the meaning of customer service much less “excellent...
Read moreNone of the Starbucks, be it anywhere in the world has blown my mind so far. This one is no different. My partner is a fan of starbucks for a very weird reason - the coffee comes at the right temperature that does not burn your mouth and you don't have to wait for it to cool down. I guess it's important when you are on the run, but I would go for taste more than the perfectness of the temperature.
Coffee : Okay, the only reason this place got 3 is because of the staff and the ambience. I took away a star because the coffee wasn't too great and we'd also taken hot chocolate with whipped cream. I wish the hot chocolate was a little thicker and less sweet. It wasn't even close to what I had expected and there was no sign of that whipped cream I had requested.
Ambience : This is a cute little store in Santa Paula and as is with all the stores here, I love that it looks like a mom and pop store instead of a chain. There is no seating here - thanks to covid and so its just one empty space except the bar. My partner said that it used to be a nice place to sit and work while sipping on coffee at the right temperature, back in the day. This place maintains the covid rules of mask and social distancing.
Staff : Friendly, attentive and cheerful.
Value for money : I know that hardcore Starbucks fans exist and that they will always be loyal to it, but I've had better coffee in other places in...
Read moreI swang by the Starbucks in Santa Paula to get a smores frap n a dragon fruit drink this afternoon around 6:30 pm and the drive thru wasn't busy with the exception of 1 car that beat me to the drive thru by a matter of seconds. The service was super slow eventhough the place wasn't busy at the time. I seriously felt like backing up and taking off because the service was way too slow, but I couldn't becuase i already had like 4 cars behind me. A young man named Sergio was the one who helped me and he had a smirk on his face/look like "I'm gonna take my sweet time helping you", besides the fact that it looked like he was goofing off/joking around with another young male employee there. After I payed, I got my drinks, then my card (maybe 30 secs later) but the receipt wasn't offered to me. So since Sergio simply said "thank you" when he handed me my card back and closed the window, I waited about a minute b4 he acknowledged me, that I was still there, and opened the window and asked me if I needed something. So I told/asked him if I could get my receipt, to which he looked at the side of the register and got my receipt and handed it to me and said "here you go". So as far as the drinks go, they were good but as far as customer service I would say the manager might want to retrain Sergio and the other male employees that were there and if not, get...
