I had the worst customer service experience of my life at this cafe on the 4th of July. The two girls working that day were beyond rude - they were genuinely mean. And for no reason.

When I arrived at the counter I asked if they had simple syrup available for iced drinks. The girl behind the counter snapped at me and pointed to a counter with sugar, etc. I ordered an iced Americano and asked what a blended drink is. We were on our way through town and it was hot. The same girl picked up a laminated paper and threw it at me. It was a list of flavors with no explanation of what a blended drink is so I asked again what a blended drink is. She responded in a snotty tone saying they are the drinks on the paper she gave to me. I said, "I'll just have a drip coffee." In the same rude tone she asked if I wanted light roast, medium roast or dark roast. I gave her my choice and she rang me up. I signed my receipt and not surprisingly, did not leave a tip, as she was so incredibly rude. She crumpled my receipt and I moved in front of the espresso machine to wait for my drink.

Then girl #2 began. She made everyone else's drink - including more complex drinks for folks that placed their orders after me. Meanwhile, a cup of ice was melting waiting for her to finish the drink. I asked if she was working on an iced American and she responded with a smirk and a "Mmmmm hmmmm" but proceeded to do other things. After waiting approximately 15 minutes I finally received my drink, which was only about 3/4 full. I politely asked for more ice. Girl #2 went to a different room for a couple of minutes and returned with my drink.

Alas, no cream was on the counter so I had to go back to girl #2 and ask for cream. She responded by saying that they were trying to close and what did I want. I asked for half and half and she slammed a carton on the counter.

WTF. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I made a point to remain polite despite the horrible treatment I received and it persisted the entire time. Those 2 girls should be ashamed of their behavior. Needless to say, I will never return to Bad Ass Coffee and you bet I'm telling everyone I know to steer...

Nice people. No posted prices - for transient peeps like me on a budget, it would be nice to know if you are going to pay almost $4.00 for a house blend cup of coffee. You know armageddon is approaching fast when coffee is more expensive than beer and water is more expensive than gas.

I am adding a few stars because I'm getting ready to ride a bike 3000 miles and I need all the good karma I can get. I am writing to clarify for the person that sent me a response. Although I appreciate your passion and time involved in your response, I think you failed to understand my initial statement. I was not speaking about your product. I was speaking about the lack of posted pricing. Having spent many years in the service industry, I am a heavy handed tipper. If I had to guess on the small side, I prolly tip 30 to 50% as a rule. If I would have seen pricing, I would have ordered a smaller cup of the wonderful Kona coffee and been able to tip the staff more than the 25% I ended up leaving. The coffee was certainly wonderful, but the best cup I have ever had came from K-Bay coffee in Homer, Alaska. Do yourself a favor and fly there if only for a cup of that life changing bean water.

Edit: 01-25-2022 To the owner of BA Coffee - I survived the 2700 ride through the Ozark campgrounds overrun by late-night raccoon burglars. I evaded death in the hungry coyote-filled canyons just South of Amarillo, TX while sleeping on a picnic table due to fire ants covering the ground like lava. I survived areas owned by venomous snakes and scorpions. I now live in Vermont and work for a company who used to be owned by the owner of Green Mountain Coffee. Life is a wonderful trip. Who'd of thunk. My brother lives in SanFran proper and has a house in Hidden Valley Lake, so he has stopped off for your Kona blend many, many times. I will visit you again, and this time I will order the biggest baddest cup of your fantastic soul-saver, and I'll tip like someone who makes good money, but is not filthy rich...because most filthy rich people suck at tipping. Mahalo! From Green...

I was craving a chai latte and I was gonna go to Starbucks. I had been hearing about Badass from my coworker, so I thought why not. This is my first time going here to get a drink by and for myself. I asked some questions like if they had alternative milks and the guy behind the counter listed the alternative milks. He was completely deadpan and seemed annoyed. So I got a chai with oatmilk. I asked about their pumpkin spice type drink and I asked if the pumpkin mix is vegan. They said it as a syrup but then said it's probably just a puree. So now I'm confused. I should have asked for the ingredients of the chai mix and that is on me. It should be chai tea with milk but I doubt this was. My drink was a big ol' cup of warm milk. Was the chai in the room with us?? I don't know. I couldn't taste it. The whole place smelled of bleach so strongly that I almost just left, because I could taste it in my mouth. I said thank you have a nice day and... nothing. This place is not friendly, not flavorful, smells like the inside of a bleach bottle and even when there is no one else there but you they will not make an effort. I'm just going to...

I think this place is great, the hours are convenient and the location is prime for north Santa Rosa but the price is much higher than other local coffee shops. The 100% Kona is about $5 for a 12oz. The quality of the coffee is great and you do not need room for cream. It's tasty, flavorful and not at acidic. It's delicious. You come here for coffee, not double shot fat free vanilla lattes with 4 pumps of random syrups. They do serve other things but their focus is Kona coffee. The variety of seating arrangements make it great for individuals, groups or couples. The food is pricey for me too but it's available. The restroom is well kept, the service is good and staff are young and so, you get the service you would expect. I really like coming here when I'm in the area.

Easy to find! Clearly, locals love this place. A lot of parking. Tons of seats inside. No seats outside. Pretty big space and they sell Hawaiian coffee beans and ground coffee. They also sell mugs and cups, baked goods, package food to go. The atmosphere was easy going and chill. Greeted nicely when I came in. Ordered the Three waves and the Caramel. Made so quickly and it’s yummmmmy and smooth. Definitely would say to come in for some smooth Kona and Hawaii coffee. I would come back!
