Was super hungry and this place delivered on all levels. Great spot for any number of guests and seemed super family friendly. Here's the breakdown... - Price is very reasonable. For example, homemade tortilla tacos were between $3-4 with non-homemade being $1.25-ish. - Food was very yummy. Everything was fresh and portions were substantial. Left feeling stuffed and happy. :) - Service was positive and prompt. We didn't wait long for anything, including food. - Atmosphere was really nice too, colorful walls and well lit. Wasn't too loud and the unique long hall layout worked well. - Drinks didnt look substantial but they offered your basic soft drinks and some more traditional beverage options. Enjoyed my time here and will be back. If you're craving good Mexican food then seriously give this place a try.

Been wanting to try this place ever since I first saw it on triple d a decade or so ago. Didn’t disappoint! My wife had huevos rancheros that she raved about. She never raves about her food so it must have been delicious. I had the chilaquiles with carnitas which was also quite good. Little spot with artwork throughout the dining room. Service was good and food delicious!

Love, love, love this restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great menu. Food is always good no matter what I order. This time I had the grilled chicken salad. It was amazing. They bring chips with two different salsas... Spicy red and a green avacado and tomatillo. Both are really good. Can't wait to try the next dish.

Came here at lunch on a weekday. There were plenty of tables open, and service was quick. Definitely a great spot to visit for a quick lunch if you need to get out of the office!

The Service - was good! The waitress dropped off the menus and took a round of drink orders. The chips and salsa came next, and she made sure it was never empty. The orders were taken, appetizers came out before the entrees, and the check was delivered promptly.

The Food - I ordered the Chilaquiles w/ Salsa Verde and Chicken. It was just what I needed. Delicious, just the right amount of spice.. definitely brought me back to my recent trip to Mexico. The prices are great, serving size is approximately giant, and the chips are warm when they get to the table.

Overall, La Texanita doesn't seem too keen on gimmicky menu options. They stick to what they love, and they consistently knock it out...

Stopped into LA Texanita for the first time last night, and we loved it!!! My girlfriend got the fish tacos, and I ordered a variety for myself- carne asada, al pastor, and chorizo. Before our tacos came out we were treated to a basket of chips with 2 salsas, roja and verde. The verde had a bit of creaminess to it from the avocado, but it definitely packed a nice amount of heat. The roja was spicy and delicious as well. No sooner did we finish our chips than our tacos arrived at the table- hot and delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic- my personal favorite is the al pastor, the flavor of the roasted pork is absolutely phenomenal. We noticed they also serve breakfast, as well as fajitas, tortas, and a variety of other plates. The service was fast and friendly. Ambience was warm and comforting on a chilly evening in Roseland. We will definitely be back!!!...

Have you ever had a problem with servers that even before you eat you want to leave?? That’s what happened to me and my family, unfortunately we decided to go to this place, the server was hyper friendly she started saying in front of my wife that my kids faces were familiar, that made my wife and me very uncomfortable . And the she touched my toddler in the face . She crossed a second boundary and my wife told me I’m not comfortable here and I told her let’s go . We entered this place expecting good food and left feeling harassed, we didn’t care about what the server thought about us we just wanted to leave. We just got up and left the table, She disrespected my wife and crossed the boundary of getting too closed to my kids. We also read comments on other reviews where the server called sweetheart to the guys when the wife is present. This is a total lack...
