Whiskey Tip — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

The patio is nice, the bar is nice, good atmosphere.

I get the name is "whiskey tip," implying among other things, whiskey, but their taps are way to far, not refrigerated, from the coolers. Hence, stale warm beer in the lines. My 1st Blue Moon tasted like it was just shy of vinegar, I politely asked for a new beer, seemed like a crisis. Second beer wasnt much better, but I choked it down so i didnt have to endure the dirty look. Third one was better, but why should a guy not expect a nice cold, carbonated beer after a long day of work? Went back a few days later, same thing. On a hot day, it smells like a bathroom inside the bar. They should definitely use the AC. My friend ordered a beer from tap and it was kinda warm. Also, the constant punk rock / metal music playing was enough to make me want to poke my eardrums out with a chop stick. This was such a great find. Great selection of liquor that you wouldn’t normally see at a regular bar. Gave a very exclusive allocation vibe. The bartender Jamie was really knowledgeable about various types of bourbon and offered a flight tasting which was fantastic. Found a new favorite bourbon to drink there

There was also an open mic night with comedy, music, poetry and other shenanigans.

Definitely a great whiskey bar...
