So I joined a Sonoma food Facebook page and saw a carne asada french fries that looked really good from this place. I choose to go explore out of my Rohnert Park bubble and try something new for a change. I am so glad that I went and ate these fries at this restaurant. The French fries are thicker and perfect consistency of crispy. The cheese was over flowing throughout the complete time eating the yumminess, I’m pretty sure I ate a solid block of cheese happily mind you. The carne asada tasted exactly the way meat is supposed to taste, not mock steak or low grade. I’m a snob when it comes to good carne asada especially since I am from San Diego where all the Mexican food is great. The portions of guacamole and sour cream were huge and fresh. I’m a bigger guy and I always order a main item and then get myself a bean and cheese burrito as a back up just in case I’m still hungry. Yeah right! This time less than 3/4 of this plate filled me up, I’m excited to have this burrito for dinner whenever my stomach isn’t so full. All and all between the amazing customer service that Lucy provided and the super cute little taco shop, and the amazing fries. I give this place a 10 star… I am only fond of one other place in all of Sonoma county which happens to be in Petaluma. With this being said I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant which is 11 miles away from me. It’s worth the drive, by the way the avocado salsa is hot but amazing!...
Read moreFirst off, let me start by saying that if this place we're in a different state, I'd say the food was great. Being that we are in California and their is no shortage of authentic quality Mexican food out there, I'd say it's about average. Their salsas were fantastic. The red salsa has a good amount of heat, which is always appreciated. Their guacamole salsa had wonderful flavor to it. Honestly, just thinking about them right now is making my mouth water.
I got a carne asada super burrito, which I use as a base to judge the quality of the food at taquerias like this. The carne asada tastes like they boil it, which is a quick way of cooking large quantities but robs it of most of the flavor. The rice and beans were ok, if not a bit bland. Other than that, the other components were of acceptable quality.
Final thoughts: The star of the show was definitely the salsas for me. Unfortunately it was surrounded by, at best decent ingredients to compliment them. Also their chips left much to be desired. because If they stepped their chip game up to match their delicious salsas, I'd happily return in the...
Read more5 Stars – Delicious, Accurate, and Great Service! My son was craving a burrito and has a big appetite, so we ordered a Monster Burrito through DoorDash. This burrito is huge and comes packed with your choice of meat, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. We went with carne asada, rice, beans, sour cream, and cheese, and asked for it wet with red salsa and cheese—but no guac. The order arrived perfectly! It came in a sturdy tin foil container with just the right amount of red salsa, along with utensils, napkins, and a note confirming the no-guac request. They even included two bags of chips and three different salsas—green, red, and avocado. Everything was spot on, and the food tasted amazing as always. They followed instructions and the quality and flavor never disappoints. Highly recommend! P.S whenever I dine in the owner is always nice and friendly always smiling and makes you...
