Tipp Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

On our way to Redwoods from the Bay area, we stopped here to have a hot meal for lunch. We love thai food. And looking at the ratings it lifted our hopes. We ordered Tom yum soup vegetarian, Mango vegetable curry, and spicy basil Chicken. It was a quiet afternoon weekday. The food arrived after a while and we tried the soup first. It tasted great. Later the curry and rice. The mango curry looked yummy but it was extremely salty and lacked any sweetness from the coconut milk. After trying it couple of times and adding some sugar from top, the taste didn't change. Asked the owner to remake the same as it was not edible. The owner came bavk with a new bowl after some time. There was hardly any change in the taste. Similar feeling for the basil chicken. It was overly salted. I was still able to eat the chicken as it was dry and mixing it with more white rice reduced the salty effect a bit. As we were getting late we just finished it and started driving to our destination.

We had high hopes for this place given all the good reviews, but the disappointment with Thai restaurants in Northern California continues. Where does one get good Thai food north of LA? Not even San Francisco can deliver. Let me know when you find out.

The food was bland and missing key ingredients - fish sauce was nowhere to be tasted. The curry felt like it came out of those squeeze-bags found in Asian supermarkets. The Pad Kee Mao were just a pile of wide noodle with a couple sad veggies.

On the bright side the place was clean and the staff friendly. The older gentleman who may be the owner was lovely and kind. If you’re him, reading this, please consider going back to the basic and beautiful ingredients of Thai cuisine; we’d love to give this place a...

Worst Thai food ever!!! I wish I could give negative starts. Should not be called Thai food should be called pet co because it’d should only be fed to dogs. On top of that the owner is one of the rudest people I have ever met in this industry. On top of that there was a super long hair in it. I got a take out order for home and the food was awful took one bite then called very nicely to just ask for a refund, the guy says “the food is good there’s nothing wrong I’m busy” and hangs up. I call back and say hey this is not ok the food is bad and I would like my money back he says “ bring it back” and hangs up again! I brought it back then only give me $20 of the $40 back! I almost lost it. Not worth it but I must warn people to not go there!...
