Habitat of Sonoma County board has not conducted themselves in a manner that supports the Habitat objectives. The Sonoma County board has allowed a series of poor decisions and betrayal of the public trust, that has placed the affiliate in financial troubles. The board has set up the affiliate to fail by not participating in the day to day workings of the affiliate and its now former programs. Rather than making objective decisions the board does not confront issues alowing problems to go unresolved causing an overwhelming amount of unresolved operational issues. Corporate Habitat needs to get involed immediately and audit Sonoma Countys Board. The strong volunteer following is considering drawing attenting to the boards failure and Habitat internationals lack of involvement to California's Bay Area news stations and possibly a social media campaign. Douglas Garrison, the Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County only holds that title but none of the responsibilities. Garrison along with the other board members are completely unaware of the operations of Habitat as he and they are never directly involved. Chuck McPherson is the second voice of the board. Chuck owns a business consulting firm and yet he has been able to sink the affiliate into a financial crisis. This is the worst place ever. First of all, we shop here because items should be priced less because not everyone has the luxury to buy new items. My family has been shopping here for years and yesterday my mother bought a dishwasher that was expensive for being used. She was denied being able to return the machine or exchange for a new one even though she bought it within less than 24hrs. Wide range of used goods. Tvs, washing machines, doors, windows, fans, bed frames, couches, many desks, bookcases, tables, side tables, lamps etc. Many items were very reasonably priced, some were more expensive but that makes sense for the quality. Also have some books and kitchen ware. I did not purchase anything as I went in for the first time mostly to look around. Will certainly be visiting again in the future. The staff seemed kind...
