I have been wanting to go to Andy’s since I first saw them on Facebook several months ago. I am sure I drooled over their videos on the reg. We are a foodie family and our pallets venture out quite a bit so we were excited to taste the passion the chefs and owners put into their dishes. We live in Sperry/ Owasso so do not make it to Sapulpa often. I picked Andy’s as my birthday spot as well as for the week I won the family football Pick ‘em. As much as I hyped it up we were actually nervous by the time we made it out, hoping it was not more hype than hit. Cooking nearly everything from scratch and using the freshest ingredients, their staff executed! I love the story of the small family owned business and how the owners connect to the local community so that just added to the experience. I got the Boss Ribeye- 20oz marbled but rendered fat. I like it rare and it was spot on! I got the mash and scalloped potatoes- don’t judge for 2 starches, well worth it! One kiddo joined me with the 12oz ribeye, super tender and also not overly fatty! Just the right amount of marbling. The other kiddo is a Mexican food eating fool, he opted for the Sapulpa bowl and was pretty much in heaven. My wife ended up with the beer battered Pollack fish, but instead of fries (chips) got the Mexican rice, also a smash hit! We started off with chips and salsa, the salsa had a really nice kick to it with great flavor. We also got the queso fundido as a last min app, do not skip this! Our son said it was better than any we had in town or in Mexico for that matter. The chorizo was super flavorful and not too greasy and the cheese strung out like a dream. Lastly the margaritas were incredible! We could tell it was not a standard marg mix. Using a specific tequila and agave, they have that down to a science!! If you are on the fence about checking out Andy’s, you better bust through the gate! Worth every bite! We can’t...
Read moreThere is only one correct answer when faced with the dilemma of choosing red or green sauce. Both!
Absolutely wonderful spicy New Mexico style Mexican food. I have not had any better in Oklahoma or New Mexico. Here it is, authentic red chili sauce, made with dried chilis; the green sauce, made thick and chunky with fresh tasting peppers. These are the real deal.
The name of the restaurant doesn’t properly portray Andy’s food offerings. “Bar and Grill” limited my expectation to bar food: burgers, fries, wings and fried appetizers. A scan of the menu reveals the capabilities of the cook and the wide variety offered. Brunch to dinner, omelets to pancakes, salads to steaks, and from the bar, beer and mixed drinks. And then there are the New Mexican platters. I spotted the red sauce in the pictures!
A Steak Burrito for me with both red and green (Christmas Style) and the pork tamales for my wife also Christmas style. Both with beans, rice, a little salad, and pico de gallo for decoration. Exceptionally delicious meals. The sauces did not disappoint. The tamales were well seasoned perfection. And the nice part you get to have it your way. A bite with red sauce, then a bite with green sauce. No disappointment in any savory spicy bite. Need heat? Ask for salsa picante. It is fierce.
The owners are Pedro and Bianca. Bianca, a very pleasant and personable young lady who provided attentive friendly service. She was a pleasure to meet. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It is decorated inside to give a New Mexico ranch house feel. A large outside dining area is available.
Andy’s Bar and Grill, wonderful food and service. More than just a bar and grill. My top choice for New Mexican style food.

Read moreAs much as I absolutely love the food from the restaurant, this review is going to be on Mr. Andy himself and his character. You see I live by him, and the other day, my dog got loose. He broke through my window and he was off. The entire family took off after him, long story short we finally got him surrounded in Mr. Andy’s yard. He had three other dogs and chickens, and we all panicked! Oh NOOOOOO! About that time… Mr. Andy himself pulled up into his driveway, and I frantically explained what was going on apologizing between about every four words. Meanwhile, the rest of my family was still chasing our dog. We had to get him out of his yard and quick. We did notice that his dog was a little aggressive as he should be defending his territory. Our biggest fear was that there was about to be a dogfight. But oddly enough, it felt like Mr. Andy’s dog knew what we were trying to do, and let us do our business. we knew that dog would bite us at any moment, so we SCRAMBLED. Just as our dog got close to his chickens… my kids nabbed him. Mr. Andy was very calm and courteous, but very stern in warning us about his dog possibly biting us. If he were to bite us, we would’ve totally understood because we were totally invading his property. But Mr. Andy was most understanding and most wonderful with us. By the way, his property is very nice. We love him being in our neighborhood. He is a pillar of society, a wonderful neighbor, and an asset to our community. Thank you, Mr. Andy for understanding and being patient with us. If you ever need a cup of sugar or anything…I got you. 😎👍 Your...
