best phillys! I usually get the large cheesesteak special and I think it is very reasonably priced. you get a lot of fries and they're pretty good and crispy (could use some salt though). my standards for phillys are kinda high and I love charlie's. I made all my friends go. my dad said he has been to both the places in philly that claim to have invented the cheesesteak, and he likes charlie's better.

I gave it four stars because they don't answer the phone sometimes. it can get busy so I always order ahead, but the problem is if they are busy they can't answer the phone. so I just have to keep calling and sometimes it says the number like doesn't work even though it does? this doesn't happen all the time. I just think maybe they should implement an online ordering system if they have trouble answering the phone.

overall, really good philly and a highly reccommend! it can just be difficult to order...

I ordered a Philly special that the menu says is served with fries and a fountain drink. The man who took my order was upfront with me and warned me he did not have fries. After realizing I had paid full price I asked if I could pay the $0.55 difference and get grits and was told they would be charged full price. After declining I was handed the sandwich pictured (ordered without mushrooms and served in a brown paper bag with napkins) and told to have a good day. I was not offered a drink.

On a positive note the sandwich was good and was made quickly. If it had been served with fries and fountain drink per the menu I think it would of been worth the $10.65 I paid for it (includes tax). That said the sandwich was alone, they were unwilling to adjust the price or substitute with a difference, and ultimately forgot a third of my order. I will...

I was down in this area for the day while my father was buying a car. I looked for a place to eat somewhere close to the dealership, and decided to pick this place .......not that I was particularly wanting a "philly cheese steak" but that the reviews were good and the food sounded good.........

...well Im glad I did! Me and my father ended up getting the footlong special (fries and a drink) and it was seriously one of, if not the best..... cheesesteak me OR MY FATHER have ever had! The steak was juice, moist and tender and the cheese was OH SO gooey and melty..they surely didn't skimp on the cheese!

The fries were OK, and the drink was a regular fountain drink.

If I were in the area again and was in the mood for this type of food......I'd absolutely...
