Panda Express — Restaurant in Sarasota

So went the first time to get take out for me and the wife; she said that all the chicken tasted funny. I got the beef and it was ok. I went back last Wednesday after not going for a while because it wasn't that good the first time but decided to give it another shot. They gave me someone else's order cuz I ordered chow mein three different types of chicken and there was rice and One suite style chicken I don't even know what it was. So I called, explain the situation and the guy said I had to come back and I said I can't come back I'm already 25 minutes away and got two kids at I am not loading back up. I asked him can't you write my name down in your manager's book and he said after a long pause okay. I said can I have your name he says no I'm not giving you my name I mean what do you mean you're not going to give me your name he said I don't have to give you my name and I was flabbergasted. I went back today thinking that okay my name's in their book and the manager in training proceeded to tell me how I needed my receipt. I told him I gave the guy all the information the day that I called and where's my name written down it should be there. He was going to give me the food but I just told him no I don't want it. I told him that the whole place needs to do better. Told the guy on the phone the same thing. It's an inconvenience for people especially when they have kids to have to go way out of their way. If my order would have been right in the first place none of this whole situation would have happened. If they would have just verified everything before they send it out the window. Very disappointed in the food I'm disappointed in the Management's handling of situations two different managers I tell you. For the value you might as well go to authentic takeout Chinese place instead of wasting your time with some high school kids screwing up...

Update: Well… you respond and I respond. The new Hot Orange Chicken is REMARKABLE. I purchase the large entree and it’s more than enough and just go without rice (so I can’t comment on sizes of regular portions). Great adjustments!! I’ll be coming back as long as hot orange chicken is an option. Adding a pic but leaving the originals up. Moving from 2 stars to 5. Original: Not enough chicken to even touch the top of the tiny to go container. Very chewy batter on the orange chicken, hardly any spice, Panda now serves the sweet and sour sauce cold from squeeze packet so 86 the spring rolls, oh and the water cup is like 8oz or something ridiculous. Zero sound dampening or soft surfaces in the restaurant and all tile so it's extremely loud. Alright. Here’s the deal…. I’m visiting from Denver and I’m here in Lakewood ranch for about 10 days. Since my time here, I’ve been to panda twice. First time was on Thursdays before Memorial Day. I ordered a plate. She gave me wonderful portions and I was happy! HOWEVER, the fries rice was EXTREMELY SALTY! Like, did someone dump a jar of salt into the wok???? I couldn’t eat it! Fast forward to Tuesday, after the holiday, I ask for a bowl with chow mein and honey sesame. The lady gave an okay amount of noodles but didn’t even give me a full scoop of the chicken. So I ask, “I’m sorry, may I have some more…” then she tries to UNCHARGE ME by asking if I wanted a plate! “No thank, just some more chicken please…” gives me literally two extra small pieces of chicken, and an attitude as she scooped the smallest bits.
