This was my first time ever being here and I will start with how absolutely terrible the service was. I'm not sure if the waitress we had was new or not but they couldn't even keep track of the multiple drinks at first. The waitress took a long time in a not nearly as full restaurant. After waiting nearly 45 minutes just for her to get our food order placed we are told, "the kitchen is only running cold, I can put your order in but I don't know when it will be made and ready". There was a table that was seated AFTER us that ordered hot food and they got their food minutes before us. We waited roughly an hour to finally get our food and we were not brought silverware. A person from my party went and grabbed silverware after we waited 20 minutes for some. An order of onion rings of mine were not brought to our table and I asked her if I could just get them to go. The waitress then brings the onion rings in a to go box and I opened the to go box to five, FIVE onion rings. Who from the kitchen would just do that. I let her know it was unacceptable and it was removed from my bill.
Overall the food was good, but the service was definitely not up to par. For a place that wasn't as busy as we were told. The service was terrible and the kitchen did a...
Read morePleasant evening weeknight dinner location. Sports Bar with traditional pub food plus a few surprising offerings like a pecan crusted chicken. Price point is comparable to most dinner options in the area, $35 for two people without drinks. Adding in drinks and appetizer you could expect $50+ for seating of two.
We tried the Artichoke Dip with toasted foccaccia bread, a french dip, and a simple patty melt.
Spinach Artichoke dip was pleasant, wish there was slightly more sauce, but it had plenty of artichoke hearts!
French Dip was assembled with plenty of beef, cheese, and offered with a generous amount of Au Jus.
Patty Melt was cooked well done, had a nice mix of siteed onion and the rye bread was perfectly toasted.
They have a nice dipping option of sour cream and paprika stirred together, and it accompanies the deep-fried sides nicely.
Nothing was overcooked or undercooked and the waitress was very kind and not overbearing.
The only critique I can really offer is the floors were a bit sticky (it is a bar) and the bathrooms needed some work. There were towels in random locations in the men's room, looked like a leaky drain? And some build up around the walls.
Solid 5 stars for the service and food, and otherwise very...
Read moreIn all honesty, I think three stars is being generous. I'd give it two for the food, but the waiting staff was kind and accomodating.
First off, they got both my and my fiance's order wrong. His side got mixed up after he ordered onion rings, and he ended up getting fries. We let a waitress know, and she was very kind and corrected the mistake. Unfortunately for him, the onion rings (his favorite part of any meal) were less than decent. He did enjoy the buffalo chicken, though. As for me, I splurged a bit and got steak, medium-rare. When it came out, I swear it was still mooing. Fully rare. The sides I got were decent, though in all honesty, the whole meal tasted kind of plain.
Again, the waitresses were so sweet, and I do not put the blame on them in the slightest. Overall, the meal wasn't AWFUL, but was definitely not worth the $40 (!) spent on it. Expensive food, not very satisfying. Unfortunately, I doubt I will be returning. For what I paid, I could have gone to a place like Texas Roadhouse and gotten a much...
