I'm walking distance to this location so go there often. All of their donuts are good and I especially like the gluten-free. I honestly can't tell the difference between that and regular Donuts. My favorite is the chocolate with coconut. The GF only comes in cake varieties. They serve Atomic brand coffee. I have to drink decaf and don't care for most of the decaf out there but theirs is excellent. can't tell the difference between it and regular coffee. It's from a local roaster, in Salem. The shop is always impeccably clean and the counter staff are very pleasant. No indoor seating right now but there are tables outside . The donuts are quite large and you'll definitely get your money's worth. I've had their cupcakes and same thing large and delicious. For people who were worried that they have added some new "crazy flavors," fear not. Just about all of your old favorites are still there. If a business is to survive, particularly in this covid-19 climate, it makes sense to add some new items here and there. And sometimes a product is discontinued because it didn't sell that well or the ingredients became difficult to obtain. Donuts appeal to people in all age groups so why not offer some flavors for all tastes... it won't take anything away from the...

I was waiting patiently in line, excited to get my hands on a delicious strawberry frosted donut. But as I was waiting in line, an inconsiderate couple cut in front of me and took the last strawberry frosted donut just as I was placing my order. It was a disappointing moment.

Thankfully, Josh came to my rescue and offered to whip up a custom donut by generously slathering some of that delicious strawberry frosting onto a honey-glazed donut. The resulting creation was nothing short of heavenly – the perfect combination of fluffy, sweet goodness. And to top it off, Josh even went the extra mile and personally checked that my iced coffee was up to par before I left. Talk about stellar customer service!

Aside from the inconsiderate couple, everything was fantastic. The donut and iced coffee were top-notch. And Josh? Well, he's a donut wizard, a coffee king, and an all-around hero.

Overall, I would highly recommend Kane's Donuts in Saugus for anyone looking for delicious treats and impeccable customer service. Just watch out for those pesky line cutters, they might snatch up your favorite donut before you even...

It is wonderful to find a donut shop that not only offers gluten-free donuts, but a variety of them! Since I had not eaten a donut in a while, I ordered 1/2 a dozen to get a good sense of what Kane's had to offer the gluten-free community.

The Chocolate Glazed and Frosted Chocolate were cakey, but will be fantastic with a glass of milk. The Blueberry Blast donut was lovely, though the icing was a little too much for me. It made it kind of taste like a pop tart. The regular Glazed and Pumkin Spice were enjoyable and would be great with coffee. Finally, the Jelly Filled donut was my personal favorite. It had the right amount of jelly to donut ratio for me. Overall, I was very happy-go-lucky with my taste test!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They replaced their gloves when I requested gluten-free donuts, which I appreciated. When I could not get decaf coffee as it was out, they easily took it off the total.

If you are interested in gluten-free donuts, I highly recommend giving...

OMG, AMAZING donuts. Personally I like donuts but I don't like them too sweet. This was my first time trying this place thanks to my colleague, and they really did a great job at highlighting the appropriate flavors by making the donut base less sweet. The Boston creme donut was FILLED with creme and I absolutely loved it. Also really enjoyed the jelly donuts and fritters. Was impressed how they were able to make the outside with a thin layer of crunchiness without losing the softness inside. Very well-done. Technically donuts are fried doughs and personally I had found it hard to maintain the soft moist inside if I had wanted to make it crunchy outside (tends to get dry or too oily). These folks are real donut experts. They were high quality donuts. Would high recommend. And apparently per their website, this particular location is the "original", now almost 70 years ("since 1955"). Pretty impressive 👍.

Stopped by Kane’s Donuts this morning a bit before 4am. I was greeted by a cheery employee who was incredibly helpful as I navigated the many fresh donut options. I left with a 1/2 dozen with a premium price of $15 dollars to bring some of my colleagues that were working the overnight shift. They were so excited when I walked in with these fresh morning treats. The donuts are a good size and yummy. $2.50 a donut isn’t bad given the quality and the fact that they can be split. If you compare Kane’s to other premium donut shops Kane’s comes up in top. Great products with exceptional customer service makes this place a go to if you are traveling through Boston’s North Shore area. Side note - the opened an additional store on RT 1 South in Saugus but they don’t open until 5a.
