Food was dry as were tortillas that fell apart went eating tacos and fajitas. Salsa with chips taste like tomato sauce no flavor. The waitress ignored our table. We would ask for something and it would take forever and sometimes a second request to get what we had asked for. We were charged $1.00 for 3 tortillas. They gave 3 tortillas for fajitas but that wasn't near enough nor were we asked if we wanted flour or corn tortillas. The chips with salsa?and some creamy stuff wasn't good. The killer was a $5 admin fee added to the bill with no explanation!!!! There were plenty of staff but no one focused on one table. One person that even attempted to address our concerns was Jose but a free soda and beer doesn't make up for all the other issues. So sorry but we will only go to La Mexicana in Sauk for real Mexican food...

The cheese! Oh Lord the melted cheese ERRYWHERE! The carry-out bag seemed quite heavy for a $19 order. It was the 5# of cheese! They even offer those cheese "curds" as an appetizer, like no other Mexican restaurant on earth (outside of Wisconsin). Jose definitely is "woke" on his target market here with that.... CHEESE!

They didn't skimp on the hot water in the bathroom to wash your hands either, like the 5* Michelin restaurants on Yelp that only offer cold to save a nickel.

Read the 1* review from "Marcelios" complaining about too much cheese on the beans and the waitress replying "This is Wisconsin". 😂😭 I'm not wrong.

2/16/25 - ordered a bunch of food. Always check your order as it's becoming more common for big mistakes to happen. Ordered the pollo asado and it was just rice, beans chicken and a ton of onions. No guacamole, jalapeños, pico, Lettuce or lime. Very disappointed 😞

1/23/25 - went to get take out but they were closed 40ish min before their posted closing time. Boooo

Previous visits - staff has always been friendly and my meal has always been done well. My girlfriends meals have been delicious but always incorrectly made. She'll ask for cheese only or chicken and gets beef. She's also received extra food that wasn't ordered but also charged for it.

So look at your receipts and if getting food to go, check your meals before leaving. Other than that I've...
