This restaurant is a nightmare wrapped in terrible service and flavorless food. If I could, I'd give it negative stars and hang a warning sign outside its door for anyone even thinking about dining here. Their customer service is atrocious and their food is subpar.
We ordered several items while specifically stating we wanted it to be vegetarian. We mentioned numerous times that every dish we ordered should be vegetarian (no fish, no meat, no eggs). Despite that, we came home and Singaporean Mai fun had meat in it. No big deal, I thought, I’ll just call and get a refund for that portion of my order.
What happened next is just bizarre. The manager informed me she could only offer to redo the order and couldn’t give me a refund unless I came back in person to return the food. I offered to send her photos of the food to prove there was meat in it. She then says photos don’t matter and needs the food back (I have no clue why they need the food back… maybe they’re gonna sell it to someone else? I don’t know…). Their refusal to issue a refund without us inconveniencing ourselves further speaks volumes about their complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
I tell her it’s unfair for me to further inconvenience my self due to their mistake. She tries to then blame it on me saying I shouldn’t have ordered Singaporean Mai Fun since it usually comes with pork. At this point, I’m incredulous that a manager is actually trying to blame the wrong order on the customer instead of just fixing the issue. Her attempt to blame me for their incompetence was not only insulting but showcased their lack of accountability. I demanded she speak with the man who took the order and after much back and forth she finally did so and admitted their mistake.
The food itself was bland and uninspired (a testament to their utter lack of culinary skill). The interior decor of the place also left much to be desired (sticky surfaces, etc.) so wouldn’t recommend dining-in either. You’re much better off spending your money at other Asian restaurants in Sayreville. Save yourself from this catastrophe and spend your money elsewhere. This place doesn't deserve...
Read moreGood Chinese food. I always get hot fresh food from there. I generally eat chicken and broccoli. Have also had General Tso chicken, Egg Roll, Steamed and Pan-fried Dumplings, Sesame chicken, fried rice, the different soups, Rib, Wontons and the usuals that most Americans order. I have liked anything that I have ordered, and theybare consistent with the taste of each meal. They are pretty good at making your food the way you like, such as substitutions, not spicy, or extra sauce. A few times had an issue but it was more of a language barrier and probably confusion when I ordered. They have no website, I will have to upload a menu, but the items are generally the same as any of Chinese food menu, prices are good. They really dont have a dining room, like most Chinese food places it is geared for take-out, but the do have like 5 or so fast food type bench-booth type seating that can fit 2 or 3 people on each side of the bench type table. Place is clean, food is good, portions are typical of most other Chinese places, and prices...
Read moreThe worst Chinese food I have ever had I ordered. Large spare ribs, shrimp, egg Fu young vegetable, Fried Rice shrimp, lomaine. Orange Chicken combo. The rice was dry. The shrimp were overcooked and tasted very old. The ribs were blind, had no flavor. I don't know who cook this food. But my 5-year-old granddaughter could have done a better wouldn't. Take my ex wife there and I can't know how this place is still in business! The food was so bad. I didn't even want to go back and get my money. I'll just make sure I never eat there again and tell everybody how terrible it was. And if you see any good reviews, those people don't know what good Chinese...
