Let's see, why 1 star?
Food: I ordered the rodizio which I was very excited to try. They brought me some sides with bread crums, rice (This one was good) and some fries that were probably made a week ago and preheated. I would not be surprised is this was probably served in another table, the didn't eat it and they reused it. My Rodizio as expected brought a lot of different meat cuts which would have been a great experience if it weren't for the foul flavor their coal or coal starter left in the meat, rather gross to be honest. Vegetables in my wife's plate were over cooked and saggy, she had ordered a sea bass that we were told was grilled; lucky for her, they did not bring the grilled version and she actually liked it the fish.
Place: The restaurant is located in South Amboy, right over 35, the parkinglot ks a bit over the place so there can be cars parked in different positions. The building looks old and mounrfull, has a funeral house vibe to it, except that there is a kitchen and tables. It can also be confusing to move around if you want to go to the restroom. There are things, like garden hoses, plastic containers and just stuff laying around in pathways. They also have an improvised patio for outside eating.
Covid: If you are not inoculated yet, please ensure you wear the mask, neither staff or what appeared to be the owner, I would assume the people in the kitchen too were wearing masks. Just a fair warning, you do you.
Staff: I think the staff was friendly, they help and make small talk. However, this is considered a rather "luxurious" restaurant and their demeanor is poor. Not properly dressed for the "fine" dining experience they are trying to provide. Noticed something I thought it was funny that I haven't seen any other place, the table cleaner just emptying the glasses in the parkinglot.
Price: I think this restaurant is no where near the fine dining experience. I also think that the fact their plates are in some cases 50+ dollars is in raw words, a scam. It is OVERPRICED without justification.
The takeaways: It is the closest location from where I live that has that rodizio experience, it is a dull, sad looking place that attenpts to be luxury and provide fine dining experience but fails in the most important key points. While the location or looks are not really relevant, the food and service are. Now, this is a recount of my experience, I have been always an advocate of people trying on their own. You can give them a chance and see if you agree with me. For the price, I think I can have a significantly better experience...
Read moreSo sad .. another business down hill.. I have been coming here since they opened and have always had an amazing time. Hm ...well this time was horrible we came (family of 5) and were treated completely horrible! No one was in the restaurant and I mean no one and they sat us in the bar corner... now if you have ever been there you know what it looks like in the corner of the the bar (that’s were they keep all of the silverware, appetizer plates and serving plates... I explained to them when we came in that my dad recently had 2 back surgeries and that the table was not an appropriate spot... they explained that all the tables were all reserved ... Unfortunately, we decided to stay... as we sat down we realized that the table was broken and one of the table leafs would not stand on its own and our drinks spilled all over (we did not get our drinks refilled without paying). All of the food we ordered came out wrong (extremely horrible because the food is usually good) ... needless to say they kept asking my dad to move in and out of his seat (which I knew they were going to do) ... So by the end of the night you could imagine how upset I was then the icing on the cake was .... Get this, we were there for an hour and a half and no one and I mean no one ever came in to the table we asked to move from ... and just a side note our bill was $240.00 we paid cash and tipped $50.00 we weren’t looking to get anything free at all we just wanted an apology ... you know what the manager told us ... This is how we run our business ....
Please please please read this and listen ...

Read moreFirst time experiencing Rodizio-style dinner (spell-check?) and this was the best experience to have! The meat? Cooked to perfection!! The atmosphere? Cozy and welcoming and decorated for the winter holidays! The staff? Beyond courteous and a joy to have conversations with! Do you have a question about what you're being served or what's on the menu? They appreciated the opportunity to explain the dish and the types of meat being served off the skewers to you! After the third round to our table, the waiter remembered who wanted extras of each serving and who wanted smaller portions, which is a WONDERFUL ATTENTION TO DETAIL for me! After dinner we asked for a few minutes to relax before wanting to look at the dessert tray they use to show you what's available tonight, and they didn't rush us at all. The cappuccino cake was delish, as was the chocolate mousse (have a sweet tooth ready and don't get too full on the main courses if you want any of the desserts, because it's a generous amount for both!). And then, after dessert and coffee, they allowed the four of us to just relax, socialize, and not worry about being rushed or have the misperception of being forgotten about. We were offered a shot glass sized portion of port wine on the house (again, blown away by the wonderful service at this place), and then the hosts and waiters were just... Fantastically fun to joke with and talk to. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could, because it had the experience, the great food, the great staff, and overall it was a memorable and...
