Not a beach for the usual beach goer. On first glance this place looks like a dump but on closer inspection the "litter" is actually the remains of some large building. There is all sorts of brick and masonry strewn about the sands as well as actual cinderblock foundation points. Some of the stone moldings look like they are from around the 20's or 30's but I have not been able to figure out what this place was. There is also a wooden outline out in the water of where the structure(s) used to be. Makes for some great photos and an interesting (brief) walk listening to the waves crash up against the remnants. Worth visiting for the aesthetic value and if want a nicer walk just go south along the Laurence Harbor walkway. I would be wary to bring young kids here but this would be cool for the more adventuresome types. The facilities are well maintained at the aforementioned Laurence Harbor side ('Paul's Beach') as well as a municipal (police) station. I did not see anyone walking their dogs here.

Fine to walk your dog on the "beach", or take a stroll along the paved pathway, much of it overlooking the water, but thats it. The place is filthy, trash everywhere, people wading at low tide with nets, catching peanut bunker, picking out some, leaving the rest to die on the sand, no respect for the environment by the people that go there..

This is a favorite spot for me. As a photographer I love the picturesque shore. It’s rugged at times and pretty during sunset other times. A lot of families and fishers hangout here in the summer around dusk and night. I like it all seasons, it’s great for a walk or a photo walk. I’ve occasionally taken my children here on walks and plan to...
