A Positive Take on Royal Bar and Restaurant (Formerly Priya Restaurant) Having observed a wide range of online reviews for what was Priya restaurants, and now experiencing it under new management as Royal Bar and Restaurant, I felt it was important to share my personal and genuinely positive perspective. It's often disheartening to see good establishments potentially overlooked or misrepresented by isolated negative experiences or overly critical assessments. From my personal observations, I've occasionally witnessed situations where patrons make a mess and then voice complaints about unrelated matters, which can unfortunately and unjustly tarnish a restaurant's reputation without a chance for clarification or rectification. It seems many approach online reviews as if they are professional culinary critics.
However, my recent experiences at Royal Bar and Restaurant have been genuinely positive, and I strongly encourage others not to be deterred by any past negative reviews you might encounter for the previous establishment.
This place is now under new management, and it truly shows. I've had the pleasure of visiting twice: once on a busy Dosa night and another time for their weekend lunch buffet. The food has consistently been amazing. The authentic South Indian dosa and biryani were highlights – the dosas were wonderfully nice and crispy, cooked to perfection, delivering that delightful crunch and rich flavor. The biryani was equally impressive – rich, aromatic, and truly excellent, clearly maintaining a high standard.
Beyond the South Indian specialties, I was delighted to find a wide selection of both North and South Indian foods. On Dosa night, as expected, the service was a bit slower given how absolutely full the restaurant was, but this is entirely understandable and acceptable for such a busy time.
The weekend lunch buffet was a fantastic experience. The selection was really good and unique, offering a great variety. It seems they frequently change up the menu, providing an excellent opportunity to try different items each time you visit.
I also had the chance to speak with the host, who mentioned that the place is currently undergoing renovations, with more exciting things, including a bar, still to come. I also spoke with the owner regarding the name change, and they clarified that "Royal Bar and Restaurant" was adopted due to prior names being disqualified from obtaining an alcohol license. The restaurant now operates under both "Royal Bar & Restaurant" and "Priya Restaurant," accommodating both their new direction and loyal patrons.
In summary, despite the varied online sentiment for its past iteration, my recent visits to Royal Bar and Restaurant have been highly enjoyable, driven primarily by the exceptional quality and variety of their food, and the exciting new changes under current management. I am genuinely looking forward to going there again and experiencing their...

Read moreThis restaurant has got a new management and was earlier called Priya Indian restaurant. For some reason the new management has not changed the sign board from Priya to Royal. Maybe a cheap tactics to get old loyal customers to visit it atleast once before they realize what a big mistake they made. The management shifted to a gujarati. A gujarati selling south indian food doesn't fly. The taste for which we used to visit Priya has gone into drain. I wished the old owner wouldn't had sold the place. Another restaurant with good food got axed. RIP...
