We recently catered our Tamil community’s annual Deepavali celebrations with food from TKU, and it was an absolute hit! The Chicken 65 and Kongu Chicken Biryani were the stars of the entire menu — both dishes were so delicious that they were completely finished with no leftovers at all. The flavors were authentic, perfectly balanced, and truly reminded us of home-style cooking.

The onion raita was another standout, thinly sliced onions soaked in thick, creamy yogurt, making it the perfect refreshing side for the biryani.

I was so excited to try authentic Tamil Nadu style food right here in Schaumburg. They have some very unique kongu dishes - I tried the kongu chicken soup and kongu mutton gravy - both outstanding. The mutton melts in your mouth and the soup is spiced perfectly. I got to meet the owners - Aravind, Muthu and Bala - they were very friendly and shared some of their inspiration into starting the restaurant.
