I was looking forward to dining here with friends. Got there at 6 on Friday. We had to wait for a table in the bar even though tables were available. We got a drink at the bar. I ordered a long island and i don't know what I got. Something with lemonade maybe. We walked the patio. I was excited to try their food as everything I saw looked good and smelled great. They have a bar out there though no seats around it. 2 ladies behind the bar, one eating right on the bar, instead of a break room. They never greeted us despite going inside the gate. They looked annoyed. We were seated around 6:30 despite their attempt to seat us in the dining room when we asked to be seated in the bar. Ordered the appetizer fried zucchini. Was not at all like the menu picture. Ours was tiny rounds on top of a lot of arugula instead of large 6 rounds. Took about 25 minutes after ordering. They are new and busy, but not packed so we gave some grace. Then we asked for drinks. Waitress kept forgetting and we had to go to the bar ourselves twice. At one point someone turnrd off all the main overhead lights and we could not see. They came back up 25 minutes later. Ordered food about 7:45 becauseof how little she came by. We finally left at 8:45 with no food. We were told by the not so happy waitress that the kitchen got backed up and waitstaff was allowed in the kitchen. I went to find a manager. Almost all the waitstaff was standing by the service bar outside the kitchen, including the manager who was also not in the best mood. I told her of our wait and got the same story. I so want this place to succeed but they should not have opened if they were not properly staff. Really bad vibe from staff and it was clear no executive chef or expediter or anyone who knows how to run a kitchen. To the owners - do better and listen to experienced professionals. You will never survive based on what we experienced. Other guests aeound us started asking us what we heard and hsd their own service issues. We were not the only ones to leave to get food ar RBar next store. Yes, we paid our tab in full even though we had every right to just walk. Please shut down until you get it right! I also noticed you are using Shift4. Bad choice. Switch if you can. You will have nothing but issues. Another note, your staff was not consistent in their uniform and hard to distinguish who is who. Your 1 food runner was wearing a chef coat. Not sure if poor uniform choice or one of your cooks was running. Either way, doesn't work. Be present and I hope you...
Read moreIt’s very rare to come across a restaurant of this caliber, one that not only delivers on food and service but also creates a genuine sense of belonging the moment you walk through the doors. From the very first step inside, you can tell that the owners poured their heart and soul into this establishment. Nothing feels rushed or forced, it’s as if their sole mission is to make every guest feel truly at home.
The attention to detail is evident everywhere. The lighting, for example, isn’t just functional, it’s intentional. It sets the perfect tone for a cozy, inviting dining experience, where every table feels warm and personal. You can tell no expense was spared in creating an atmosphere that strikes the balance between elegance and comfort.
Personally, I’ve been through a lot lately, and it’s rare that a place has the power to affect me the way this one did. Just sitting at the bar, I felt the cold bitterness I’d been carrying slowly melt away. The bartenders weren’t just pouring drinks, they were attentive, engaging, and genuinely hospitable, making me feel less like a customer and more like a welcomed guest.
The servers mirrored that same level of care, moving with speed and precision, yet never making the experience feel rushed. What really stood out to me, however, was the presence of the manager, Sebastian. Even though my experience was flawless from start to finish, I noticed how he personally went table to table, checking in with guests, ensuring that every moment was nothing short of immaculate. That kind of leadership is rare, it sets the tone for the entire staff and shows how seriously they take hospitality here.
Everything about this place works together seamlessly, the decor, the ambiance, the service, and the genuine warmth of the people running it. It’s not just a beautifully run business, it’s an experience that stays with you even after you leave. Restaurants like this are hard to find, and I can confidently say this is one I’ll be coming back to...
Read moreI was so glad someone took over the old northwoods , miss the old northwoods and live music not to much of that in the area anymore . Went there Saturday night wasn't very busy for Saturday night, but every time I checked online to make reservations the website said there wasn't any reservations available ever . I noticed others have complained about reservations system as well , if I was owner I would have that corrected right away, but apparently it still hasnt been addressed , as that may drive away business if I'm a potential customer looking to try the new place out but cant ever seem to make reservations then im taking my party elsewhere . We were able to sit in bar , we got waited on for drinks pretty quick which was good , the music however was a different story they were awful and looked to be about 12 years old all of them , there were children in the bar area I thought indiana liquor laws don't allow children in the bar area . Just didn't get a good vibe with the new place id be surprised if they last more than 6months from the little I saw . Don't think it's going to appeal to too many people unless business model changes unfortunately, i realize it's a new business and there will be some growing pains but it just didn't seem that the business was being run very well . I know the overhead in that building has to be very high and thats what brought the other businesses down , and to be that empty on a Saturday night thats not good . Haven't tried the food yet but will give it a fair try . Hopefully they can turn the business model around and...
