Ate there for the third time tonight (the first two times were carry out orders, this time we dined in). The first time, I had the lasagna, while my wife and son each had the mostaccioli. All were excellent.

The second time, I opted for the combination Italian sausage/Italian beef sandwich, while they again had the mostaccioli. The sausage is made in-house, and was fantastic, while the Italian beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful.

This time, my wife and I opted for a pizza, with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green pepper, with a side of garlic bread, while my son opted for a half pound cheeseburger and fries.

Wow.

The beef for their cheeseburgers is ground in-house, and is far and away better than most burger joints. This was definitely the best burger I've tasted in a long, long time.

The pizza was excellent as well. Great sauce, very good crust, very little greasiness, not too salty, the toppings were fresh and cooked perfectly, just a great pie all around, possibly one of the best in the area.

I've tried pizzas from Zuni's, Edwardo's, Verona Pizza, Gelsosomo's, and Aurelio's. This is in a whole different class. The others are either really salty or very greasy, and leave much to be desired. This was just right.

I saw a previous review where someone said the wait for a pizza was 90 minutes. Honestly, having seen the line there during their dinner rush, that wouldn't surprise me. There's a reason the wait time is so ridiculous: it's that good. No frills, no gimmicks, just..... pizza. Worth the wait if you don't feel like calling ahead (we went at 8pm tonight and missed the rush, so we got our food very quickly without calling ahead).

I had been looking for a good Italian joint in the area. I'm glad I stumbled...

5 stars for the food !!!always very good!!! Years!! However we have been getting carry out only since covid..here. Window pick up .. Problem and bothered the 4 of us that decided to go in to dine thinking distancing .. Wiping... Gloves. Masks. ? Well we went in Got a table far as we could to distance by window to be away from others .. We were shocked tables were not farther apart. They should of been..... Saw workers without gloves .. Some without their mask... Plus the time we were there did not see anyone sanitizing tables.. Pop machine.. Or anything. Seemed they were only concetrating on giving food tables and carry out. Yes food important but sanitizing cleaning good we did notvexperiencevin our time there and day.We went at an off time thinking itwould be not so busy since our 1st time in dining anywhere since February.. . Got busy so we wanted to leave due to all we were experiencing. Plus girl bringing our food to table also had no gloves on.. Just alotvof notvsobgood practices even though Indiana open the virus still is very present.. Been a customer for years good place seems someone in authority manager owner should be diligent in enforcingthis and safety. So now all these times goingbto window to pick up order I am we concerned watching and being inside this one time.as to their practices . We brought majority of our good food home. Just to leave ... We are sorry to have to comment however hoping this changes Maybe Just the day ? This was our honest dine in experience ..... You have an excellent place.food .. Service .. We dont go out to dine now I believe we wont again withvirus ..not feeling !safe and covid cases are not going down .. Take care .. Keep safe .. And always room for...

I want to preface this review with this. My review is not based on the quality of the food. I was never offered the opportunity to try their food. Last week a friend of Italian heritage suggested I try Pepino's. For several days I kept thinking about ordering a meal for me and my elderly Mother. I called Monday only to find they are not open for business on Monday's. Ughhh. So, I gave it another try today, Tuesday, 7/18. A girl answered the phone and my first question to her was do you offer curbside service. An abrupt "NO." I explained that I am confined to a wheelchair, and if I placed an order, and came into the restaurant, which I am capable of doing, I will need assistance getting the order out to my vehicle. I have a spinal cord injury and on top of that an above the right knee amputation. Of course I did not elaborate on my condition. I felt it was not necessary. Her response was we have a drive-through, it is closed because it was just repaved yesterday and should be open again in 2 or 3 days. My thought was, OK, thanks for the stellar Customer Service. Sorry to be an imposition and hope you are happier with...

Order at the counter and then be seated if you are dining in. Food is brought to you. Drinks are self serve. Had the house salad and dressing costs extra .70. Thought that was a little weird because if you order salad, dressing is supposed to come with it. Anyway, I liked that the salad had radish. The appetizer was fried jalapeños, which were nice with the marinara. They have a slight kick of heat to them. Also had a medium pizza with mushrooms, olives, and peppers. The crust was nice and crispy. The marinara was thicker in quality than I normally see on pizza, but it was good. The cheese was gooey, yum yum. I think the marinara was the overpowering flavor of the pizza because it was all veggie. You would have to try with a meat to see if there is a difference. I would try again with different ingredients. Will be back to try their sandwiches, read that this is what they are known for.

Right behind CVS off Rt41. Been going here for years. Not many places at all like this around. Clean and friendly staff. Seem to even keep the same staff for years. Impressed. Prices are ok for the quality and freshness. Electric games for the kids. Tv for the games. Lots of parking. Food is made pretty quickly and hot. The lasagna comes with lots of extra meat sauce. Great for dipping your garlic bread. Your get a salad too with your meal. Not much of anything on it / in it and just vinegar and oil. I really don't eat them. I love Olive Gardens dressing hint hint staff They have fresh pizza by the slice too. One of the mangers made sure we got the freshest slice. Impressed. You can take the back roads if you don't want to drive 41 too. Only place even close to this is Fazoli's but they are way in Valparaiso now no more Schererville.

No wait staff, cafeteria style eating, I didn't like that at all! I ordered a beef and sausage combo w/ a side salad and a drink. $20. The salad was horrible, just because it was a greens salad and I like iceberg. The dressing was different, didn't care for it but I ate it. The combo sandwich was really good! I ordered mine beef and sausage, provolone, sweet peppers, no red sauce @ extra wet. I should have ordered it on garlic bread...I think that would have put it over the top. I tried my buddy's red sauce, we r both Italian and will tell you WHATEVER you order....stay away! I also tried a piece of a meatball.....I would not recommend those either. Surprisingly the fries were amazing! I will definitely go back but you got to know exactly what to order and what not to order.
