Ate there for the third time tonight (the first two times were carry out orders, this time we dined in). The first time, I had the lasagna, while my wife and son each had the mostaccioli. All were excellent.
The second time, I opted for the combination Italian sausage/Italian beef sandwich, while they again had the mostaccioli. The sausage is made in-house, and was fantastic, while the Italian beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful.
This time, my wife and I opted for a pizza, with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green pepper, with a side of garlic bread, while my son opted for a half pound cheeseburger and fries.
Wow.
The beef for their cheeseburgers is ground in-house, and is far and away better than most burger joints. This was definitely the best burger I've tasted in a long, long time.
The pizza was excellent as well. Great sauce, very good crust, very little greasiness, not too salty, the toppings were fresh and cooked perfectly, just a great pie all around, possibly one of the best in the area.
I've tried pizzas from Zuni's, Edwardo's, Verona Pizza, Gelsosomo's, and Aurelio's. This is in a whole different class. The others are either really salty or very greasy, and leave much to be desired. This was just right.
I saw a previous review where someone said the wait for a pizza was 90 minutes. Honestly, having seen the line there during their dinner rush, that wouldn't surprise me. There's a reason the wait time is so ridiculous: it's that good. No frills, no gimmicks, just..... pizza. Worth the wait if you don't feel like calling ahead (we went at 8pm tonight and missed the rush, so we got our food very quickly without calling ahead).
I had been looking for a good Italian joint in the area. I'm glad I stumbled...

Read moreI want to preface this review with this. My review is not based on the quality of the food. I was never offered the opportunity to try their food. Last week a friend of Italian heritage suggested I try Pepino's. For several days I kept thinking about ordering a meal for me and my elderly Mother. I called Monday only to find they are not open for business on Monday's. Ughhh. So, I gave it another try today, Tuesday, 7/18. A girl answered the phone and my first question to her was do you offer curbside service. An abrupt "NO." I explained that I am confined to a wheelchair, and if I placed an order, and came into the restaurant, which I am capable of doing, I will need assistance getting the order out to my vehicle. I have a spinal cord injury and on top of that an above the right knee amputation. Of course I did not elaborate on my condition. I felt it was not necessary. Her response was we have a drive-through, it is closed because it was just repaved yesterday and should be open again in 2 or 3 days. My thought was, OK, thanks for the stellar Customer Service. Sorry to be an imposition and hope you are happier with...
