Juanitos Mexican Cafe — Restaurant in Schertz

I was desperately looking to place a pickup order for tamales for Christmas, and a lady on one of the local neighborhood facebook groups recommended Juanitos tamales.

I placed an order, and paid in person. I didnt realize they were located in a gas station, i was hesitant because of that,but when i walked up to the register, there was a table full of ladies behind the counter spreading masa on the husks. I knew this place was legit, and decided to give them a go!

I ordered pork,chicken, and rajas. On Christmas day, I steamed them and served them to my family. These tamales are delicious! Masa/filling ratio was great, not dry and overall yummy. The corner store is nice but the prices are super over priced and expensive. They add several dollars if you use card. I’m sorry $20 for 6 tacos (3 bacon egg cheese and 3 bean cheese w/bacon) is absolutely ridiculous, then have the nerve to have a add tip button? Never in my life have I paid $3.33 for plain/traditional breakfast tacos! No thank you, don’t come after 10am (they just adjusted that and raised the prices on the trio tacos orders sign).
