I am super happy to support Monarca's as a small, local business because they are fast, friendly, and tasty. The prices are reasonable too. There are not a lot of lunch options in the Schoolcraft area, and I don't want this gem to disappear!
My go-to order is Mexican style tacos (cilantro, onion, lime) on corn tortillas with chorizo and steak with red and green sauce . They carry a decent selection of Jarritos and other common pop bottles and cans. There are a lot of flavors of Mexican style ice cream and some icey ones too that are kind of like sherbet, which I believe is a lactose-free option.

Read moreCame in about 2:30 this afternoon with my girlfriend, the lady at the cash register was on the phone taking a to go order and the girl behind the counter was stocking things and had her back to us. We stood there for about 15 minutes and no one greeted or even bothered to acknowledge us so we turned around and left. We won’t be back!
