Dairy Haus — Restaurant in Scottdale

Ahh this was so hard for me to review. I HATE giving low stars to such an amazing place...BUT....DON'T let that from stopping your trip. So Im used to DQ ice cream. When we are used to something it's hard for us to look outside the box. So I ordered a medium strawberry milkshake and...well...I did not like it, my younger son didn't like it, got home and my oldest didn't like it. Now listen it wasn't BAD it was just different. It was a very strong strawberry milk tasting milkshake. So imagine fake strawberry flavoring mixed with strawberry milk...that's what it tasted like. So I'm sure some people LOVE IT but just not us. Now my son got a vanilla cone with strawberry crumble stuff on the outside and it was sooooo SOOO GOOD. However none of us could finish the cone bc the ice cream is a very heavy milk- MILKY taste. Which most people absolutely LOVE, it just wasn't for us. We will give it another try...next time we are going to go ZERO strawberry and try some chocolate flavors and if our review changes we will re-do this review...or add on to it. We are all for supporting a small local business so this did hurt me to type out... I even had a talk with my Mom worried about writing this review and of course Mom said...JUST BE HONEST. So here we are. NOT A FAN BUT I'll go back and test...

I grew up loving this place. It's the only place I can get my favorite icecream and sadly at this point I dont think I'll ever get my favorite icecream again. Simply because the man who was there today was real rude and needs to learn some respect. I dont live in scottdale anymore and just happened to be going threw so I googled to see when they opened and it said 3 (perfect timing because we was driving threw right about 3) well I got out the car and this guy gets a straight attitude with me for no reason and says we open at 3:30 and I said ok I googled it and it said 3 (I wasnt mad but his rudeness was uncalled for) he says well I dont care what the website says I dont run that. Like wow there was no need to be rude to a customer like that. No wonder the place is going down hill. I gladly got in the car and took my business to dairy queen.

ALSO I SENT IN AN EDIT TO CHANGE THE OPENING TIME TO 3:30 SO NO ONE ELSE HAS TO BE TREATED WITH SUCH RUDENESS AS I DID BECAUSE YOU ARE THERE A...

such an awesome mom and pop ice cream shop! the amount of soft serve flavors and different selections is insane that I'm wondering if you would even be able to get 1 of everything before the season ends cause there's so many options. once dairy haus opens for the season all other ice cream joints easily get forgotten about. if your looking for a cheap ice cream date or a family outing after dinner, dairy haus is the only...
