Great Scott Escapes — Local services in Scottdale

My sister and I had the best bonding experience at Great Scott Escapes! It was out first IRL escape room and it did not disappoint! I'm a wheelchair user, and I was able to get into the establishment (one step) easily and could access everything in one of their rooms. Unfortunately, and understandably, only one room is accessible. But! It's a great room and I was able to participate as much as I wanted to as clues weren't out of my reach. Cathy, I think that's her name, who ran the room was nothing short of absolutely incredible! She made the entire experience so much better and it felt so very immersive. The puzzles are all so fun! We did not solve the murder, but we were close! We learned an important life lesson: its okay to ask for help!! Struggling alone is not easy or worth it when you have so many people who want to help! I'm always a little skeptical of escape room reviews because they strangely almost always lean positive, even with bad rooms. I think because peoples expectations vary so much. I try to leave the review that I would want to read and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and the reviews hold up! At the risk of sounding pretentious my group and I are pretty nit picky with rooms, because we've been to some pretty awesome ones, and we've been to some pretty bad ones. This one really is great, and I'm saying that as a group of three that failed. It was really well balanced, never lingered, the host was great, the aesthetic was immersive (not just wallpaper kind of deal) and some fun custom engineering which is always the best! If you enjoy challenging and suspenseful activities this is for you!! Kathy was kind, helpful and useful! The price is reasonable also. It was $25.00 a person for an hour in the room. The location was convenient and parking was easily found. Lots of restaurants near by within walking distance! Kathy didn't rush us or hurry us along either! after we "blew"up aka lost, she came down and explained to us what we did right and wrong! We was so close!!
