New York Bagels N Bialys — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Came here today to get my wife a simple toasted asiago bagel with cream cheese. Took them over 15 minutes to bring me my order and I was the only person waiting for a to go order. The only other people in the restaurant were 2 tables in the dining half of the restaurant with a maximum of 3 people at each table. When I finally get my order I’m walking out to the car and I realized that the bagel is cold. So I walk back in to ask them to warm it up. The girl at the counter decided to get off her phone and walks into the back for maybe 2 minutes and what she brings back is warm. But I unwrap the bagel and I get what you can see in the picture. An un toasted bagel with a glob of cream cheese. Again I waited over 15 minutes for this. And I also left a tip when I was paying for the bagel. It’s extremely frustrating to go somewhere to get something as simple as a toasted bagel and that can’t even be accomplished. Would...

Drove by on my way to the studio without knowing anything about NY BnB. Their menu certainly is extensive, and I didn’t have time to read it since it was an impulse stop. Asked the nice cashier if they had a bodega bagel, which is a NYC staple. Blank stare. That’s ok, she’s young and this is AZ. I described it, she pointed out on the menu the Egg-A-Bagel. Ding ding ding! That’s what I order, and it comes out quick! Egg was nice. No cream cheese. My fault for not asking if it came with it [I know I know, that’s not a “pure” bodega bagel]. Food was okay... The potato pancakes were very huge, but very dense. I've had this type of potato pancake elsewhere in AZ and choose not to eat there either.

The blintzes were very disappointing. They were small squares so the three pieces you get equal one standard sized blintz (where you typically get two or three). The recipe was extremely wet. Not the usual consistency you would expect.

The service was excellent. Attentive and personable.

The atmosphere: they had the same sticky tables that First Watch (previous tenant) had. There was dried on ketchup on the salt shaker.
