Let me start off by saying that my wife and I had our wedding reception here in February 2008 and our planer was Ms. Regan and it was flawless!!!!! Just what you or anybody would expect of a “Four Seasons”
Now moving to yesterday (Sunday the 29th November 2020) Oh how things have changed for the WORST!!!!!
The check in was fantastic! Then it was off to Proof for dinner for 4 and one of the 4 was my 96 yr old after-in-law, so we decided to eat outside to watch the sunset at 17:30 and our server and his helper started us off with ice tea and water. Then we ordered an appetizer which was very good. Then about 45 mins. later we ordered our dinner. We had NO idea it was going to take an hour and 37 minutes for our dinner to get to us!!!!! The server kept telling us it was they got hit hard? Then He said it was the Chyna-Flu? As this was going on........I had asked our server if we could have one of their portable heaters moved over to our table? He then said that he would have to ask his manager??? What???? Then we had asked our server what did his manage say? He said he forgot to ask???? Then 20 mins later we asked him again. And then another 20 mins later!!! So we had asked 4 TIMES TOTAL!!!!! And it never came!!!! Keep in mind! The portable heater was only 21 feet from our table!!!
Then after all this and over an hour and 30 mins after we had ordered! I got up to go see if they(The Four Seasons) could bring my father in law some fruit or bread or rolls to nibble on since it was taking so long to get our food. And at that time, our order finally came out! YES a full hour and 37 mins before we finally got to eat!!!!
Out of all the Four Seasons we have been to all over, this was the worst service my wife and I have EVER HAD AT ANY PLACE WE HAVE STAYED!!!! INCLUDING ANY AND ALL OTHER HOTELS AND RESORTS WE HAVE STAYED AT!!!!!!!!
In closing, some one is definitely sleeping at the switch!!!! This is a direct reflection of the management team! All the excuses and not an once of willingness to make things right! My wife has a business with 39 employees and she too has been hit hard! But she works harder than before because of this year with out excuses and with out punishing her clients. I know that they got hit with more than what they expected. but then you adapt and work a bit harder and smarter. We are here till Sunday and I told my wife it’s going to be DoorDash and or me going to get...
Read moreI recently dined at Proof Canteen and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the service. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, efficient, and made the dining experience feel welcoming from start to finish.
Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by one major issue: the air conditioning was broken. On an overwhelming hot day like today, this made the atmosphere uncomfortable and took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable meal. It’s hard to fully appreciate great food when you're overheated and distracted by the temperature.
As much as I want to recommend Proof Canteen for its excellent cuisine and service, I can’t do so until the air conditioning is fixed. Once that’s addressed, I’d happily return and encourage others to...
Read moreHaving enjoyed two previous dinners at Proof, it's hard to understand how our last visit was so dreadful. I was worried that we were seated in a back outdoor corner when so many other tables were available. The initial service to order drinks was lengthy and from there it went drastically downhill. Chips and Salsa were bland. For an establishment promoting its BBQ, the two entrees, short ribs and baby back ribs, were the worst I have ever been served. Certainly not made the day they served, cold and gray. It's clear the kitchen was not up to the task and the service team was just as bad. Mashed potatoes were cold and sauces had already developed that appetizing film on the top. It wasn't just bad, it was the worst. Proof management and Four Seasons management should be...
