Samurai Sam's — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I had the pleasure of revisiting Samurai Sam's after over a decade, and I must say, the experience was just as amazing as I remembered. My wife and I used to frequent this location once a week when we were working in the area, and the manager, Marlene, made a lasting impression on us.

Despite not having been back in so long, Marlene still recognized us and remembered our usual order. She even asked about our kids, whom she had met years ago. Her level of care and attention to detail when it comes to customer service is truly remarkable. In my years as a business owner’s, I have encountered thousands of employees, but very few have shown the same level of genuine care and dedication to their customers as Marlene does.

I have been back to this Samurai Sam's location about once a year when I am in the area, and each time, Marlene's warm welcome and personalized service make me feel like a valued guest. She is a truly special person who embodies exceptional customer service. It is rare to find such personalized care and attention in today's world, and the owner of this location is truly lucky to have someone like Marlene on their team. I've been coming here for about 10 years, probably more. I'm not necessarily a regular but I do come in every now and then. Between the 3 other locations I've been to, this one is by far THE BEST.

I always see them wiping something down or cleaning, I've never been let down once by the food. They don't overcook their veggies which makes them very tasty and nutritious. When watching their interactions with other customers, you can tell that they really care that you feel cared for. Even when its lunch rush, they are quite fast as well.

I got the pepper steak and wow was it amazing!! The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. The veggies were cooked perfect, they weren't soggy like I've seen other places. The steak marinade is so good I could have ate it without any sauce, but the teriyaki sauce just makes it that much better. I will definitely be coming back, maybe even tomorrow.
