My Mother's Delicacies — Restaurant in Scranton

Happened upon this spot by pure accident on a trip through Scranton and decided to pull up. The smell upon entering is what I hope heaven smells like when you walk through the pearly gates. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming not just upon entering, but throughout the entire visit. The sign of a good croissant is its flakiness, and the one I received was as messy as could be. Buttery and soft on the inside made it a treat I won't soon forget. I watched our main man pull the apple fritters directly from the oven and deliver them personally to our to-go box. We ordered two, but he threw an extra one on the house as it was our first time there. I don't know if he does that for everyone but it's definitely one way to feel welcomed and valued. After being dissatisfied recently with our usual bakery I finally got a chance to stop in here before they closed. I waited maybe one or two minutes, staff came out (wish I asked his name but I didn’t but whoever was working today is a credit to your business) and apologized for making me wait which was completely unnecessary, was totally polite and service was over the top. I will without a doubt be doing our family cookie trays and daily treats here from now on. On top of the service and the cleanliness of the building the pastries are out of this world excellent. I lived and worked in a Jewish community in Deal, New Jersey and had some top-notch pastries there. These take top prize. Can’t recommend enough. Even though my wife and I came in close to closing time, we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. It was our first time in so we were given free samples of their regulach. Which is absolutely incredible! Everything they offer was amazing. Even tho we came late in the day they still had a display case full of goodies. We got a slice of cheese cake (delicious) fudge brownie, (amazing) Bavarian lobster tail, (fantastic) and a mixed pound of cookies and regulach. Everything we got was top notch.
