Our dream came true - we got married at the Parker House! My family has been rooted in the Sea Girt area since the 1940s, with the Parker House serving as a common thread through generations. Growing up, I heard amazing stories from my father about summers at “The Shore” and unforgettable moments at the Parker House. I myself have been summering here for 30+ years. When I met the woman of my dreams (now MY WIFE!), I began bringing her to the shore every summer, and of course, to the Parker House. Both of us have been coming here for years, carrying on my family's tradition of afternoon back porch sliders and lobster rolls, followed by late-night dancing and drinks. One memorable summer day, while at the back porch, we had the flirty conversation about having our wedding at the Parker House. We were certain this was the perfect place to get married, with its status as an unofficial national landmark for the Northeast, its Casa Blanca by the beach feel, and the opportunity for us to return and enjoy it every summer. On October 5th, 2024, we made that conversation official. The entire experience exceeded our wildest dreams. We had a stunning grand cocktail-style wedding and had the pleasure of working with the best event manager, Maura, who also got married at the Parker House. This made our wedding day feel like we were working with family with everyone truly invested in ensuring my wife and I had an unforgettable day. With Maura, Lauren, and all of The Parker House staff, it was without a doubt the perfect weekend. The food, atmosphere, and attention to detail were unparalleled. We still receive rave reviews from guests about our wedding here and how refreshing the venue was. I mean, how many people get to say they had their first dance in "God's Basement"! Thank you to Maura & the entire Parker House team, we cannot wait to be back there this summer to be the annoying couple telling everyone over a drink and sliders that we got married here and how we will continue to dance the night away until we're old and frail.

This was our destination for my Mom's 91st Birthday lunch. I just assumed that there would be some form of an entrance that would be easy to access, not necessarily regulation " handicap" but never expected a long fight of stairs that have to be climbed to reach restaurant. There was a door on the street level but this was locked and appeared to be for deliveries. Carefully and slowly and with assistance my Mom made it up to the porch. I asked where I could park and the waitress told me you just have to look around neighboring blocks to find a space. The Parker House has no parking lot. It's only one block from the beach so parking this time of year can require some walking. Other than that the food was fresh, delicious and the view of the surrounding neighborhood and the magnificent homes from our table on the porch of this once lived in Victorian home was lovely. The lunch menu is limited, and there was one daily special of a pulled pork sandwich. I probably wouldn't visit again because the menu left me a bit disappointed in choice. Again, this was the lunch menu and I don't know what is offered at dinner.

Hands down a 5/5 - If you happen to find yourself in or near Spring Lake, NJ, stopping by Parker House for a meal is an absolute must. Nestled one block in from the boardwalk, Parker House is set in an old Victorian house where you can enjoy a meal inside or on the wraparound porch. I opted for the porch because it was a gorgeous day and came with a purpose - Lobster! At $15, this fresh lobster lunch cannot be best, especially as someone visiting from Manhattan where this meal would be at least 3-4x as much. The lobster was, fresh, juicy, sweet, and perfectly prepared. I’d go back anytime for this meal and would definitely love to try one of the other many seafood dishes on their menu. August 2019 Just visited again. First time since May. I am disappointed... My Pina Colada seemed watered down. It came with only a straw and nothing else... no cherry's or slice of fruit. The Scallops tasted ok but were smaller than normal and were cut in half so you really only got 1.5 Scallops... Usually they have a beautiful seare on both sides... Not this time... They were slightly cooked on one side... They were too skinny to be cooked on both sides after being halved.... would have been over cooked in that case. Also had the A1-Flank Steak sandwich... it was cooked perfectly but was tasteless. The meat was tender but had no flavor. Not sure why except all the cooking juices were nowhere to be seen. Maybe because it was a Wednesday...? It is still a nice place to eat

May 2019 I've never had a bad meal here... What more can I say... I am a very harsh critic on food and only write a good review 20% of the time.. This is a big home with wrap around porch turned restaurant ... You eat on the porch so you can guess, unfortnately it's not open in the winter... as of this review anyway...

Food here is of great quality and well prepared. There Seared Scallops are large, evenly crispy brown on both sides and delicate opaque on the inside. I've had them 3 times... perfection ! I am impressed by many of their other fine dishes but my praise comes from an unlikely candidate, The French Dip.. Don't usually order this but took a chance.. Yum... enough said

This is a nice place, not a beach hangout. It's fairly quiet and slightly sophisticated but not obnoxiously so. Wear a shirt not a T... nice shorts or long pants and shoes... Eat here if the atmosphere is to your liking... You won't...

The absolute WORST facility on the Jersey shore. We went to see my friend’s band play here one night and had to get frisked TWICE at the door when I had just my wallet and phone with me and in my hands(unclear about the handsy-ness). Then we were prompted to wait on the VIP where the front desk told us they have no band list so we’d have to walk all the way out and back in again to get frisked for a third time. We said no, and my other friend and I paid the obnoxious $20 cover fee where we were then split up from our other two friends who couldn’t come in with us but instead the bouncer put a group of 6 in between us? There was an issue with someone’s ID so the same bouncer who originally split us up then told my two friends to get out of the VIP line and walk to the general admission line even though we’d been waiting 15 mins TO JUST GO IN! I immediately had a jerkoff splash their drink all over the back of my legs and outfit. The outside REEKS of used bathroom, the basement smells like a urinal cake factory, the floors are wet, the walls are wet, and the people are even wetter. Oh and did I mention it’s CASH ONLY EVERYWHERE?!?!? After we were fed up trying to get a view of the band we went upstairs to eat. After waiting 45 mins for a table, two hours for four salads and beyond cold appetizers, we left. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and helpful, the only good part of the night. We decided to catch the bands last set where we again had to get frisked to get back in, but then were told we’d have to pay the $20 AGAIN because when you go inside first to drink and then eat you aren’t allowed back in technically. Honestly don’t know how yall are in business still but will never be...
