Been coming to Sea Isle since I was a young kid and have walked pass this place hundreds of times and always meant to try it but would run out of time. So this year we made sure to grab dinner here and it was amazing. It's a quaint restaurant with about 10-11 tables so make a reservation if you can or get in early as they fill up fast. From the hostess that greeted us to the waitress's everyone was warm, welcoming and kind. Food was amazing, We started with the mozzarella sticks with house marinara. They were lightly breaded packed with motz and the sauce was a nice fresh balance of sweet and tangy. With the meals you get warm bread with a house dipping sauce that was unique but very good. It had fresh herbs, mushrooms, oil and what tasted like balsamic in it. Then the house salads were fresh and the dressing was a creamy Italian. Finally the food and WOW portions were huge. My wife got the fresh spaghetti with meatballs. It came in a massive bowl with 4 meatballs each one the size of a scoop of ice cream. The pasta was fresh, and the sauce was yummy. I had the chilean sea bass with saffron gnocchi and topped with a citrus salsa. And it was Perfect. The balance of sweet butter fish cooked perfectly to the pillowy gnocchi and the acidic citrus salsa was to die for. So if you're at the shore check this place out and we...
Read moreThe wife and I decided to have dinner out last minute. We were fortunate enough to snag a 7pm reservation. Basilicos is slightly off the beaten path in Sea Isle. Cute, boisterous atmosphere, and the food is delicious! We started off with their Basilicos Bang Bang, which is their lightly breaded spicy shrimp appetizer. Not terribly spicy, but bursting with flavor. The house salad was simple with a decent creamy Italian dressing. I ordered the scallop special over lobster raviolis. Super phenomenal! Exploding with flavor. My wife ordered the shrimp over cavitelli with spinach and crab. Also very tasty. Forgot to mention the bread with dipping oil. The bread was on the chewy side, but the oil with capers, olives, and garlic more than made up for it. Overall a really nice meal for a nice price. We'll...
Read moreWe travelled here from Cape May after reading the reviews, since a lot of the CM restaurants are closed this time of year (January). It was a great decision. We started off with their fire roasted peppers in a balsamic glaze and it was amazing. Then salads, house dressing and their bread with a roasted garlic and oil dip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I had their pescatore passomonti, but in a white wine sauce with the lobster tail, and it was just a perfect dish, lots of flavor, the little next clams were small and sweet the calamari were sliced in thin rings and were delicious. We finished with their cheese cake with fresh berries and it's was a perfect ending to a great meal. Amber took verify good...
