Okay first off, flavor has changed and not for the better, the gluten-free pancakes that used to be fluffy in the texture was flavorful and and cloud-like, are now gritty and less of a vanilla flavor, which was probably almost non-existent. The bacon looks like it was precooked bacon and they reheated it to a almost chocolate brown color meaning that it was technically burnt, it was also thicker and wider the last visit. Coffee has changed, and overall not a really great experience. I understand you want to save money and maybe change vendors but if you're going to do that make sure you get equal quality and you don't charge more for less, which is what happened here. I swear the last time I ate a similar meal price wise was $10 cheaper. The coffee is over $3 a cup!? Technically coffee is cheap when you're selling it by the cup You can make your money back on a pound of coffee in two cups and that's decent quality coffee but you're charging $6.50 for a cup of coffee regardless of how many refills you might get, when you shouldn't be charging but maybe a buck and a half two bucks. All in all the experience was not as good as it could have been.
Even when mother's Day hit this place like a ton of bricks. They were on top of their game as far as everyone doing their job. Not only did I gift the wait person but I also gifted the only busser in the entire restaurant. Everyone was really putting in 100%. My wife and I love this place especially because they have gluten-free pancakes for her, given her health requirements and their food is pretty good. The only complaint we had is their sausage is definitely a prepackaged manufactured food item, it is not as good as the rest of their food. I really would like to see a sage flavored sausage that doesn't look like something that came out of a machine press. I would also like to see their hash browns done more crisp, their edible at best but not as good as crisp hash...
Read more1st time dinning here and I would rate this place above normal expectation for a breakfast establishment. To start I ordered the chorizo omelette with hash browns and pancakes. I started with the pancakes which where probably the best I think I have ever had. They came out piping hot sprinkled with powdered sugar, stacked 3 high. They were nice and fluffy and had a rich vanilla taste. Topped off with melted whipped butter and swimming in syrup. It certainly was the best part of the whole experience. I would come back specifically for pancakes. The omelette and hash however, was disappointing. It’s a bummer when you have such a wonder tasting experience to be let down right after. I will say the chorizo was tasty but they put so little in the omelette it felt like a sample. The other parts of the omelette had no flavor or seasoning. A chorizo would omelette should be well seasoned and spicy, bursting with flavor, and for almost $14 the taste should have met the price tag. Do better chefs! The hash browns were also bland and dry and didn’t taste fresh. My waitress was quick, checked on me often, but it also felt like she was rushing me even though she actually said “no rush, take your time”. I will give the staff as a whole a good rating. Everyone seemed to be well attentive and where hustling. Food came out very quickly and nothing sat there. All food came out nice and hot. The restaurant seemed clean and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely come back and give it...
Read moreLet me just say upfront that the food was great, so the food deserves 4 stars (not exceptional but very good). The service however... it was non existing (the table was assigned to a new waitress so instead a veteran "took it"). As she was taking our drink order she left in the middle of taking it because she had to sneeze and another person took over (she asked our drink order about 3 times). Then our friend, who was celebrating his birthday, ordered a chicken fried chicken dish and it NEVER came! We asked about 3 times about it, since we had all been eating, they assured us it was coming, but about 45 minutes after we had gotten our food, we were all done and there were still no signs of a chicken fried chicken, so the birthday boy sat there watching us eat and enjoy our food (we couldn't even talk about the food being "good" because we didn't want to make him feel bad). Then right before we asked for our tickets, he asked to have his plate canceled and the waitress said "Ok". No apologies, no solutions, just an "ok". Then, we tried to get one of the waitresses to get us our check but they were too busy with other tables, the "new waitress" came to help us, she was super quick and nice, we wish we would've had her from the start. I've been in the service industry, I get that these things happen, but a simple apology for not having brought out our friends' food would've improved the...
