Dos Pueblitos Restaurant — Restaurant in Texas

I don't know what is going on with this place but we loved eating from here, everything was awesome and had great seasoning. But today WTH I even had to call to find out if they sold the place or had a new cook. My husband went to pick up our order and said it wasn't the usual people in the back cooking. The food lacked flavor and don't get me started on the Tripas I ordered 2 tacos de tripa veien dorados and instead they were extra soggy n nasty the fajita had no flavor the barbacoa was flavorless and old. I sware the only thing good in our meals were the kids quesadillas. The rice and beans were also different. The only tacos my husband liked from the 6 he ordered was his 2 chorizo tacos. His tripas were horrible as well and his carnitas had no flavor. I was told they had a new cook and I hope to god they bring back the old cook. Oh yea my original order was for flautas but they said they were out, I also asked for papusas and I guess they don't make them anymore. If the old cook or cooks read this please let me know where you are working cos we won't be spending our money here anymore unless it goes back to how it was! This was the only good Mexican restaurant in Seagoville in my opinion. The man that answered the phone the 3rd time I called cos I kept getting hung up on either they were getting slammed with orders (which would be normal) or slammed with complaints, told me I could take the food back and have them remake it. I told him I had already thrown it out. there was no way I was going to drive back over there and wait another 30 min or more for our order....

Late June 2025: First time coming here. We ordered to go, the wait time was about 10-15 mins. We ordered a Beef fajita Torta, 5 Beef Fajita tacos, a Jamaica drink, 2 Churros one of each kind (Cajeta & the other one I forgot the name). The employees were friendly. We were pleased with the size portion of our food. The food was warm and tasty better than the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Satisfied overall with the service and the food.

07/27/25 Update: Recently we have order about 3-4 time beef fajita tacos and beef tortas and the taste was not the same, the mean tasted a bit stiff in parts. The flavor was okay and the new cashiers did not greeted us to let us know it was our turn when we told them we were waiting for them to let us know they were ready to take our they took someone else’s order behind us. We asked for a jamaica drink and we saw they filled a cup and put it in the counter but did not let us know that was ours. I think serving the drinks while the clients are waiting is a good way to reset the clock with the clients but they probably so busy and this might be come across as being extra but the service and taste of the food was good and consistent that it did not feel they were up to their own standards of service quality of taste of food these 3 times we have ordered. We will be rating from 5 to 3 stars and give them another chance to see if they improved. We were so happy we had found a restaurant inside the wall that had all good service and quality of food and taste but might have jumped the gun in...

Omg so everyone knows there were cockroaches crawling on the walls by me and my family and by where the kitchen is. I do not mean babies either these were German cockroaches and the one crawling by the kitchen entrance had a egg sack hanging from it. My husband and our family after paying well over $50 for food took two bites honestly when we saw them we immediately got up and walked out. Yes I understand spraying for bugs and some may come out but these were well alive and my husband found a roach leg in his beans.. we are horrified yes I am reporting this place immediately to Seagoville City.
