This was a mess. It's soft serve ice cream in a lukewarm, soft cone. The store location is so small they only have 4 or 5 tables, and this isn't a food you can take to go. And it's a bad location for groups since the tables are all 4 tops. The tables are all full when we came in but when a group of 10-12 came in behind us it got really crowded and chaotic. Based on how long it took each cone to be made, the first person probably finished their ice cream long before the last person got theirs. Typical ice cream cones have more space inside the cone for ice cream. But these cones have barely any room inside; 6 swirls and a dollop is too big for structural stability. Naturally, 2 minutes after I received my ice cream, it plopped into my lap. I was holding two cones while we drove to a park a couple minutes away and was covered in drips by the time we arrived. I particularly hate messy foods, but I think most people would be unhappy with this arrangement. These would have been better served in a large bowl instead. You know structural stability of your ice cream is bad when they send everyone out the door with 2 cups supporting their ice cream cones. I think these cones would be really yummy when warm. But the one I got was clearly room temp before they filled it with ice cream; and by the time I ate the ice cream the taste and texture of the then cold cone was wrong. I wish I could just order a cone by itself and eat it hot. The company says the cones are made to order, but they're clearly made in advance. They had a stack of 20-30 in a basket on the counter that they were serving out of, premade ahead of time. The serving was way too big for a single person. I'm glad we ordered to share. Even so, I felt sick from eating so much sugar so quickly as the ice cream melted. I really wanted to like this place, but I didn't. I might try again and do a fruit cone, just skip all the ice cream completely. But it's going to be a little while until I recover from this first ordeal. Minus one star for each: not enough seating, cone not fresh made to order as advertised, melty soft-serve mess.
Kudos to the employees that seems to really be working hard! They were very friendly despite their busy imitation...
Read moreGreat concept! It was busy when we went, line was almost out the door. The staff were working like a well oiled machine and getting orders out fast!
I watched one team member interact with child guest who thought they forgot the Nutella and made sure the kiddo got some Nutella on top and then said, "guess what? There's more Nutella inside!" Which made the guest happy. Those little interactions catch my attention.
Did it get a little messy? Yup. Which is why it's served in a plastic cup too catch the melty goddess.
Costs were a little higher than I expected but the quality of the product was definitely there, we may not make it an every day stop but we'll be...
Read moreI wish this placed leaned a little more into the European theme like they seem like they are trying to. Instead of having mediocre soft serve, I wish they sold custard or gelato. Also, the price is way too expensive for just a cup of soft serve. You can sell a cup of soft serve for $2 and still make a steep profit, so the fact they are selling a cup of soft serve for nearly $5 is honestly insane to me. Enough of the cons, the only pros of this place was the cones tasted amazing and the staff was welcoming and professional. This place has potential, but not if they stick to putting toppings in the bottom of a cup and throwing soft serve...
