Our barista was super friendly, but the coffee was trash. We were hoping for drip coffee, but the young lady said she could do an Americano. It ended up tasting like yesterday's coffee, reheated and watered down. Also, no real cream - just small little individual cups. This is strange for a shop. A coffee cart? Maybe, but this is a store with food cases. Why no drip coffee? Why no cream? Why such limited food? I'm guessing supply and demand? I get how a tiny little shop might want to make coffee that goes to waste, or have cream that spoils... but just because your shop is called kappa 'espresso' doesn't mean you don't attend to the basics. Just my opinion. Minimal and very unique snacks, the blueberry muffin was unfortunately not great either, so a double"miss" this time. We were looking for an egg sandwich, advertised online in a picture, but none were there. Just pastries. I love writing good reviews and I love supporting small businesses, but I don't see this one making it long-term, unfortunately. Honestly, we had better coffee at the 'bikini batista' a couple...

When you drive up to the location, you might miss the Coffee shop sign. This is opposite to Key Bank and on the same building which has Seatac Barber and Seatac Bakery.
When you enter the small coffee shop, you are welcomed with a smell of grinded coffee smell and a smile & someone who asks your name and asks about your day before asking what you want to have! The bakery goods shelf attracts you instantly!
We ordered Coffee Latte and Cappuccino. They had good aroma and seem to have been roasted longer to leave a strong aroma and a slight smoky flavor.
We also ordered the Cannoli which is not the Italian version but a flaky pastry filled with not-so-sweet custard which we loved. It had the right sweetness and good flaky-ness.

Great balance of chocolate from the syrup and the flavor of the espresso shots. I had an additional shot on the side of their medium roast. Citrus flavors at the front and toffee at the end of a sip; good complexity. I will come back.
I purchase a bag of their Ethiopia Yiracheffe washed whole bean roast. I made my first cup today with a 14:1 ratio in a hario v60 brewer. Water temperature was 185 degrees Fahrenheit. There was not much of a bloom in the initial 50 g pour indicating these beans were likely not freshly roasted e.g. last week or so. I looked at the bag and noticed there was no roast date printed. After finishing the pour over, the coffee was not as full bodied as the espresso shot. While it still has decent flavor, it was not as good as the espresso...
