We, three ladies of age 67, 70 and above 80 booked this hotel because it has rooms with 3 beds. When we arrived we found this hotel does not have elevator. I asked girl on the front desk if she can give us a room on the first floor because it is very hard for us to take luggage upstairs. She told there is no room on first floor and she does not have anybody to help us because here is short staff today. She was very rude and she told if we can take our luggage on the upper floor we can go to another hotel. She give us number in the upper building on the second floor but explained if we do not want to use stairs we can go up to the hill and enter second floor from the back door/ We did so. When we tired from walking up to the hill come to our room we found out it is occupied by women and children. The women explained us she is going to stay two more nights. She called on the front desk and was told we have to go back to get another room. I took the phone and explained I'm not going to walk back and force. After this? the lady from front desk come to us and brought another key from the room across hallway. Unfortunately this room was occupied also. Finally she found a room for us on the FIRST FLOOR (you remember it was no available room on the first floor). the lady from the room helped us to take our luggage downstairs. The that we got was for at least three people however it was one cup? one glass and one vine glass. The sheets on the sofa were dirty with some hairs. I called on the front desk asking to give us additional items and change sheets. Answer was 'No. Stay as is or move to another hotel.' I asked about manager and received an answer she is the manager. I traveled around the World and this is my first experience of so rude service. it was too late for us to move somewhere else and we stayed in this hotel for two nights but it was no pleasurable. Everything in the room was so messed up: some wires hung from the hole in the wall, phone did not work, no extra towels, dust, to touch something was disgusting. I do not suggest anybody to stay in this hotel. It...
Read moreI wish I could give it a half star. My family of 4 stayed in the building in the back. As we entered there was a guy fixing his motorcycle with parts all over the ground right in front of the entrance. The entrance door itself had duct tape over it to keep it open so you wouldn't have to use your room key to enter. So security doesn't seem to be a worry here.... Walking inside my 3.5 year old immediately commented on the smell and said he wanted to go home. Printed signs are taped to the doors reminding patrons not to "smoke anything" on premises. Super.
Once in our kitchenette suite it felt like we had gone back in time. The room was very dated and did not feel very clean, I didn't want to take my shoes off or touch the fabric armchair that looked like it could use a steam clean. The sheets were stained, the kitchenette had one knife, no coffee maker, an iron, no ironing board.... it felt like it had been previously raided and no one cared to restock it.
I suppose the bonuses are that it had a full sized fridge and oven alongside the microwave. The kitchen did look like it had been recently renovated although there were no handles on any of the cabinets making it a pain in the butt to open them when we needed to get to the garbage. And having a second bedroom for the kids was nice although they were too scared to sleep in there alone so we all ended up together anyway.
We stayed here for 2 nights and were supposed to stay here for one more night on our way home but I immediately cancelled that reservation and made one for another hotel for $40 cheaper and much much nicer with an indoor pool for the kiddos.
I would not...
Read moreMy room was like a huge studio apt. Had sofa, TV, fridge, microwave, iron , hairdryer, coffee machine, 3x large mirrors. Plenty of towels. Everything looked clean, even tho it's outdated. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I think people expect a 5star hotel/service for a cheap fee. Get real people! Or maybe I just got lucky with a decent room 🤷. I had room No 209 My bed was huge and extremely comfortable. I expected to hear airplanes flying over as I'm a light sleeper but I did not. They also had blackout curtains up. The lady on the desk with long dark hair is super friendly &helpful 🙏. She let me check in 2hrs early and let me know there was a breakfast place/bakery 10mins down the road (take a right exiting the hotel). Big Safeway store near it too. Transport is 5mins away to downtown Seattle (take a left, then turn right).
Take a left from the hotel & you'll see a Thai restaurant 'Chong Tong' its a few minutes down the road on corner. (I enjoyed my meal). Think there was an African eatery close to it too.
Pub Ulysses (take a right up road. Pub on other side of road. I did not know about it, til I went for a walk the next day.
Library 8min walk away and a cute little seated area called (Integration Peace Park) just before it. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the airport, which was on time and the driver was polite. Airport is about 1.5miles from hotel so is perfectly located.
Lots of tourist pamphlets/maps available and coffee machines near reception.
I'd defo recommend this place and stay again. I'm a female solo traveler and felt safe in the area.
