Came here with family and had a good meal. Wednesday and Thursday nights are wine discount nights, so we shared a nice Nebbiolo. 50% off wines $50 or less, and $25 off anything above that, if I remember correctly. My parents started with sauteed calamari in a spicy tomato sauce and I had a caprese salad. My parents loved the calamari, while my caprese was pretty good. Would have been better with heirloom tomatoes, though. For dinner my mom and I both had the veal parmesan and my dad the veal saltimbocca. I subbed noodles and sauce instead of potatoes and veg. The veal parmesan was a massive portion for $25, quite tasty, and the noodles were cooked properly with some chew. My mom loved the potatoes, and my dad was happy with the saltimbocca. If you have dessert, go for the classic tiramisu. Made in house and a massive portion. Enough for two. Service was attentive and great without being overbearing. Place was clean as well. No happy hour or bar, just to let people know who would think of coming earlier than their reservation. Definitely a place...
Read moreGreat neighborhood Italian spot, somewhat hidden from major roads. Variety between main menu and nightly specials. Quality ingredients and protiens, coupled with authentic preparation made for phenomenal flavors and balance.
Service from our waiter, Gene, was personable, friendly, and genuine. He was colorful and enhanced our family dinner experience. He offered honest suggestions and went above and beyond to make our first visit memorable.
Only suggestion would be for more wine by the glass options. Our first glass of chianti was a bit stale, but Gene made an excellent suggestion for our second glass that was much better.
We will definitely be back! Favorite dish of the night was penne carrettiera, followed by the linguine diavola. The kids mac and cheese was rich abd definitely made...
Read moreThis is a small, out of the way little Italian restaurant with a small dining area. Maybe 15 tables? 20 at most that I saw, unless the restaurant has a secret Mary Poppins dining room tucked away in a corner somewhere. They were very strict about masks and table spacing, which I found quite nice. The staff seemed genuinely excited to see us there, and were very attentive but not overwhelmingly so.
The menu was not too over crowded. Five to seven choices in each category so they aren't just throwing up a menu of anything vaguely italian and doing it halfway decently. Everything is done well and with purpose.
I had one of the night's specials, a pasta dish with chicken and a creamy marasala sauce with mushrooms. It was perfectly season and we'll balanced. I will definitely...
