We have been going to TL for a few years now. Today was the first time in a year. We tried coming a few months ago, but showed up as they were remodeling after the fire. Well we were disappointed in the food only on this trip. We're hoping it was just an off day. We did finish the food, but can say we might not be back again for quite a while. Even when it's right by our home. I understand inflation, but charging the same for less (shrinkflation - big corporations) is annoying. I also understand restaurants needing make their money as well.. However not at the expense of quality. We ordered 2 what would be considered appetizers and took home a small Hawaiian mac salad. The artichoke and jalapeno dip is considerably smaller. Dip still tastes very similar but there was hardly any artichoke in it compared to the way it was. Also the Naan bread used to be soft and delicious. Now it's hard and almost paper thin. Tasted old as well. We also ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimp themselves were very large and cooked perfectly which was nice. However they were wrapped in really fatty bacon. Leaving them soaking in grease on a bed of shredded lettuce which was unpleasant. You need the sauce that comes with them to break up the grease. This is where I have another issue. As I mentioned they were large shrimp but you only get a small amount of sauce. So we asked for a little more to finish off the shrimp. To my surprise they are actually charging for extra sauce looking at the receipt on an 18 dollar dish. To nickel and dime your customers is pretty ridiculous. Final food item was the mac salad. In the past you recieved a small container that was full. This time around we recieved a small container that wasn't even half full! I would also recommend going during happy hour. For example their top shelf/Cadillac margarita is a full 2 to 3 dollars more per drink than at other nicer restaurants in the area. Same size. I've given the TL a positive review in the past because we were impressed. We like the patio out back and our service was great. So again I'm hoping some of this is just an off day but something tells...
Read moreThe Twisted Lime in Mill Creek (a true suburban gem just outside Seattle!) is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that instantly brightens your day. The Hawaiian-inspired decor creates a cozy yet lively environment, perfect for a casual night out or even a special celebration. The menu is a delightful surprise, offering unique and incredibly flavorful dishes. The Kalua Pork Flatbread Pizza is a revelation – a perfect blend of savory and tangy that left me craving more. Every dish we tried was clearly made with fresh ingredients and a passion for good food. But what truly sets Twisted Lime apart is the staff. Our server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our experience memorable. It's clear they take pride in their work, and that level of service truly elevates the entire visit. Even without a happy hour, the character and charm of this place, combined with the quality of the food and drinks, make it a beloved neighborhood spot. If you're looking for a taste of the islands and an all-around fantastic dining experience in the Seattle suburbs, look no further than The Twisted Lime. Five stars,...
Read moreHaving THE ONLY place I know of around here where I can get me some GREAT Loco Moco, It's been really hard to try anything else on their menu!!
White rice, burger patty, a nice over medium fried egg, tasty brown gravy and a few chopped green onions, delicious!
Portion size is really good with me being really full after eating most of it ( Maybe a spot of rice left over on the plate).
Really friendly service, delicious food (At least the Loco Moco, haven't tried anything else yet).
The only other place I can get this is when I make it at home!
Update April 25, 2025:: After searching for great Fish & Chips (With my base standard being SPUDS in Seattle), the F&C here are superb! Nice batter coating, fried perfectly, fries typical but delicious, Cole Slaw could have used a bit more flavoring, but didn't distract at all from the wonderfully battered Fish.
Overall a good solid 4.5 out of 5 for fish & chips, with me personally liking SPUDS a bit better at a 5 star for...
