Burrito Express — Restaurant in Seattle

FOOD POISONING !! Don’t eat here . I order chicken burrito and carne asada burrito paid by card , and my friend and her mom order carna asada burrito each . I ate 1.5 burrito and my friend and her mom ate half . We didn’t eat nothing else all day . The same day of same night I had dierriah and vomit all night . My friend and her mom got same symptom as me but the next day . Me and my friend were planning to drive to Los Angeles the next day for moving but we had to go delay till we felt better . We were dying vomit and diarrhea . We try to stop it w over counter meds . After 2 weeks later once move in is settle down , we called this place and report what happens to the lady who answered. She told over the phone that we were playing around and reported too late . She said someone will call back because she doesn’t know how to handle it . Still… no call back . I sent text message of my transaction of card that tells what time and date exact w amount since I pay by card . And still no response . We would report to food safety place ..this place did not even apologize or try to solve problem but accused of us that we were playing around ….. very unprofessional… if u have big important the next day don’t even think to come eat here . U will be on bed all day vomit...

We recently moved to the neighborhood and want to try all the restaurants. This is one of the first we went to and we’ve been like 6 times in the last 6 weeks. We always just get the simple bean and cheese burrito. We were blown away by the quality. The beans are delicious and somehow just the right amount of spicy. I have no idea what’s in them but they’re some of the best beans I’ve ever had. The tortillas are good too. I did get one burrito that I was disappointed in because the beans were so soupy that it was a hell of a mess to eat. Shockingly tasty for just beans and cheese in a tortilla. And for that price? I’ll come here all the time. I do wish they had chips and guac here but the salsas are very good. They have a small selection of drinks (soda). They bust out orders pretty quick and do have a pager system for when the line gets long. The staff have been great, very friendly. It’s in a parking lot so parking is usually fine, but sometimes tricky. It’s a bit tight and it can be hard to exit the parking lot, especially taking a left.

I've had El Burrito Express several times but Only breakfast, Is actually really good! Today I decided to stop there and grab some lunch before returning to work,What a DISAPPOINTMENT I ordered tacos, 2 carnitas 2 steak al "carbon" and 1 campechano. The 2 carnitas were ok But man! the al carbon tacos were Dry,hard and you can definitely tell it was old meat( from earlier or the day before) mind you it was 12 pm when I stopped there. Hopping for some fresh ingredients right!?? The "campechano" chorizo/steak mix. all I could taste was the Clove, Yes I get it, the marinade for chorizo gets Clove BUT not that much... All I can taste now is Clove in my mouth.. Boss man! Yes the owner I seeing you several times while I've been there for breakfast.. I get it, you're expending, lunch menu, another truck coming up soon and new hours! That's all Good but keep and eye and your lunch proteins boss I hate to say it but they are nasty.. Oh and to top it off! No limes they ran out of limes an hour after they opened for lunch the restaurant depot is...
