This spot is a must-visit, again and again! Michelle is incredibly welcoming and eager to connect. The team remembered my name and my go-to coffee drink almost right away, And the coffee? It is so good that I really don’t want to go anywhere else. I switched to ordering travelers for my work from The Scene for events. The space features local art, showcases BIPOC vendors, and just has a cool vibe. I’d tell you about my favorite savory pastry from Umami Kushi, but then there won’t be any when I get there! They also have cute gift items like this cool candle. Visit if you want to feel known, welcome, and connected (and to get a great cup of coffee). ☕️

I came here and plugged in for a little bit on a Monday morning and it was mostly quiet. There's WiFi, a good amount of outlets, and a little bit of seating (not a huge place). My plain latte was a 10/10, so every espresso drink must be good based on that. They had a good little selection of sweet and savory pastries in the case. I had their veggie quiche, which was huge (bigger than any coffee shop quiche I've ever had, and not more expensive). It was baked to order, very satisfying, had a thick and rich crust, and decent flavors inside. I'd rate it 7/10. I'd be happy to come back, and this place definitely checks off the boxes for any coffee lover.

So, although Michelle and Jay are my friends, I gave this a 5-star review because the service, food, atmosphere, and the constant line that kept Michelle having to pause our conversations to help the barista was proof that this is a well-liked shop. To top it off, I tried something I NEVER would have eaten before. I had the Harvest Squash bread. And I was nervous, but it was sooooo 🔥🔥🔥! I had it warmed up, too. So it was extra fire! I live in Portland, so I can’t frequent this place like I want to. But please believe, if I lived up here, I would most definitely host all my work meetings here. If you’re in the Seattle area, you HAVE TO stop by here!

Resistencia Coffee is a place where everyone feels genuinely welcome the moment they enters the shop. Faviola and Amber, the baristas who made me a great latte, are warm and friendly, they care about customers and make great efforts to bring a cup of nice coffee and a piece of joy to everyone, whether they are regulars, like many people who visited the shop while I was there, or me, a total stranger. The atmosphere was fantastic.

Besides the standard coffee and tea menu, they also have some baked goods and sandwiches/wraps for a full breakfast. The shop has some indoor seatings, including a couple of comfortable couches and a children's corner, as well as a few small outdoor tables at the back. Note that 370 of the reviews for this business are describing the previous ownership, atmosphere, workers, and product.

The new owners are super friendly and seem excited about the space. However, this is a completely different experience than when it was La Resistencia. All of the local art, kids spaces, etc are gone. The vibe is changed completely.

Product wise, the latte I received was VERY hot, which made it difficult to enjoy even when I made it into work 15min later. They do seem to still be selling Macrina bakery products. Prices are increased.

La Resistencia set a high bar for a coffee shop in this space, so I wish the new owners well in working...

This place has AMAZING customer service. I was walking by and stopped in to grab some decaf coffee right at 1800. The barista informed me that they had just closed but then asked what I wanted. He gladly made me a drink even after just closing. I was very appreciative of his willingness to make me coffee after closing. While he was making the coffee we talked a bit. He was friendly and pleasant to talk to. The overall vibe to the coffee place was warm and welcoming. The americano I had was delicious.
