We a family of 4 of us came there on a Saturday evening in New Years. The place was busy. We got a seat immediately. The server told us after ordering it will be awhile before food will come out. As we waited it took 30 minutes before our first order arrived. We had ordered: -salted fish fried rice it was soft and tasty but not enough salted fish to wow me. I had better before. -fried garlic tofu this i thought would have come out first but it ended up coming in second after our noodles came first to our table. However this dish the outside was crispy and inside was very soft the flavor is excellent. I ended up dipping this in the noodle sauce which made it even better. chicken chow fun wide soft noodles this dish is excellent i had their beef last time and it was my favorite. -we had order stew oysters but they were out. steam bao was also out. we ended up ordering honey garlic pork and bbq duck togo. total came to $67 which is about the typical price for 4 dish and 1 appetizer. overall, i think this is a good restaurant the only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is the very long wait for food. but then again the food was worth it. Phan our server was very sweet lady, she enjoy her friendliness compared to the other servers who just drops food and ignore us when we tried to make order. but it's ok Phan was helpful. We will be back in the...
Read moreIn the past 3 years, we had dinner at this restaurant when it was Joy Palace and now Ding Feng. All previous waiter staff was replaced. The quality of the food is declining. The service is unfriendly and stingy. As a pre meal snack, the restaurant offers a small handful of salted peanuts on a shallow dish about less than 3 inch diameter. While waiting for our foods, we asked for a second serving of peanuts. The head waitress curtly and loudly said "NO, ONLY ONE TIME." We had customers at a close by table looked at us. We have never been at a restaurant that refused this low cost snack while waiting for foods to be served. Surely, this waitress did not know the value of the customer service and tipping vs price of peanuts.
We ordered broccoli and shrimps, chicken with ginger and scallion, Westlake beef soup, and lobster with noodles. The broccoli and shrimps was the worst dish with little shrimps and no flavor. The soup tasted like water flavored with salt and MSG. The chicken was decent. The lobster noodle was the only good dish.
Because of the terrible service, this was our last dinning at...

And the food? Absolutely incredible. I ordered a few dishes, and each one was a winner. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked, with plump, juicy shrimp and a great balance of flavors. The hot pot dish with various seafood and meats in a rich, savory sauce was a standout—the seafood was fresh and tender, and the sauce was delicious. The third dish, Mongolian Chicken, a stir-fry with chicken, onions, and scallions, had a wonderful, glossy sauce and the chicken was perfectly cooked.
Overall, Ding Feng offers great food, amazing service, and a beautiful dining room. I'm already looking forward to...
