Luu’s Cafe — Restaurant in Seattle

I am a big supporter of small local business and I wish you guys success! I went here on their first day open and just some constructive criticism:

The lavender milk tea was flavorless. I couldn’t really taste any lavender. Perhaps add more flavoring. It was really watered down. Couldn’t really taste the tea either.

The honey toast boxes were okay. The bread was really dry. My suggestion would be to add the ice cream while the toast is hot to melt it a bit so that it soaks into the bread. I would also recommend adding condensed milk to help with the dryness.

The ice cream was fantastic. I liked the variety of flavors and creaminess.

The decor and interior design was very cute! I liked that there was an arcade game and a lot of seating for a small shop.

Positives: You’ll be supporting a small local business. The shop sells snacks, desserts and other interesting food items like Nori bagel. Can’t vouch for the food since I haven’t try it. Service is friendly and there’s punch cards to keep the loyal customers returning.

Negatives: Too long a wait time. Takes about 10-15 minutes for a boba tea. The boba (pearls) are chewy but still a little hard at the core. Not the best I’ve tasted. The tea tasted good (I had oolong milk). I would rate the boba tea as 7 out of 10.

Would I return for more? A high no because the boba tea is not worth the 10-15 minutes wait time. There are many boba tea shops in the nearby area that sell equal or better boba tea with...

My husband stopped into Luu’s Cafe for lunch on Sunday. It was our first time visiting. We each ordered a banh mi - I got the bbq pork and he got the chicken meatball. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The bread was light as air, the meats were hot, and had the perfect amount of toppings. I have a feeling Luu’s Cafe will become our go-to spot for Banh mi sandwiches! On our next visit, we plan to branch out and try some of the beverages.
