I wish I took a picture of the steak, (prime Rib) my partner had. It was delicious, soft to the cut and bite and definitely worth the price. But leftovers will do....it's even more amazing the next day. Drinks: Don't be judgemental like me because I usually don't like to buy mixed drinks at restaurants because they are weak sauce usually, BUT, definitely not this place. I had the bullet Rye mixed drink and everytime I took a sip, I questioned my inability to avoid a nap on the ride home😂🤣🤣😅, have a drink, it's definitely worth it. TREAT YOURSELF. I am not the biggest steak person and honestly I have been craving lasagna for months, so I ordered it when I saw it on the menu. It's a broiler, it was definitely worth $16. I loved the surprise mushrooms in it, but it was not the most amazing lasagna I HAVE EVER HAD but it worked for what I needed then. I wasn't the biggest fan of beef in lasagna but ONLY because I always eat it with Italian sausage. The crowd is older and I appreciated that. Definitely a place where people are not on their phones, believe it or not, which makes it intimate.

Ok, this is a great dinner. It sends me back to when I was a kid and my family would go out to dinner at the dinner in my hometown. The restaurant is very comfortable with a wait staff that give you the feel of being at you Aunt's house for dinner with the family. They have a classic menu with items you don't find on menus anymore. I had the Prime rib that was cooked very well and my wife had the meatloaf that was very tasty. In fact we had some left over and it made a good sandwich the next day. The portions are on the larger side so you will be taking some of it home. Another good thing about this restaurant is you can go with a large group or just yourself and you can get a seat fairly quickly. So if you want good comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere go here leave feeling better.

The food was awful, and the table and booths we were seated at were sticky and not cleaned. The prime rib tasted as gray as it looks. My husband had a steak that was also unseasoned and was well done when requested to be medium rare. The vegetables served with the meals were obviously canned or frozen. The kitchen is open so you can see them microwave so much of the food. I also can't believe a dinner salad is lettuce, 1 slice of salami cut up, and 3 cheez its. I had to ask for our drinks, which weren't brought out until after our food, and then was never offered a refill. $70 down the drain on a meal we could not finish. Do not waste your money.

Have you ever been to a place in in a blink of eye it went from your favorite to a I never want to go there again situation??

That's how I'm feeling about the broiler. In particular this is my mom's favorite place so you know sometimes I like to treat the fam bam. Speaking of so there was an instance I don't know maybe a month or two ago where I purchased food for myself my grandma my mom my niece and a family friend. Go figure out of everything my portion was only missing. You ever wanted something so bad and you had a taste for it so you go in hopes to get it and then it's not there? Okay well that's what happened my fried green beans were missing...

I called back I advised the girl what happened she seemed to apologize and said no problem when you come back in we will replace it. I told her I probably won't be coming back anytime soon but I definitely appreciate that and I will be taking them up on the offer...

Hey so yeah it wasn't anytime soon but it was a few days that I decided to jump back in there. I was greeted by some tall dude and he had the audacity to give me a hard time over some fried green beans. he's telling me oh without your receipt I can't do much. And then in my head I'm thinking are you f** kidding me? Do you think I would really come in the restaurant tell you the story in regards to what happened to me just to get over on some $8 fried green beans? Oh yeah I forgot to mention my backpack got stolen about 3 weeks ago so everything was took in cards medicine for my eye serial number card for my implant for the metal that's in my eye cell phone keys money paper scratchers cell phone adapter airpods I do mean everything. I try to tell the guy this but he wasn't hearing any of it he told me there's nothing he can do without a receipt and that I need to speak to Derek the owner.

Really wasn't feeling how he just brushed me off in regards to my circumstances but okay whatever I guess the pandemic really got some people tripping.

I did what I was told I contacted Derek yesterday. I was told to call before 2:00 which I did and guess what somebody answered the phone telling me that I miss Derek already for the day. I said were you the gentleman I talked to yesterday in regards to the green beans? He told me no couldn't have been me today is my first day okay no problem even though they sounded like the same person to me. Again really not feeling how I'm being treated over $8 fried green beans that essentially y'all forgot to put in my large order.

So now a few days later has went and I totally have been playing tag with this restaurant and with derek. I can't get any respect can't get anybody to call me back but yet I still need to get a hold of derek. Why is that for y'all's mistake? Why am I jumping through the hurdles for a $8 fried green appetizer? My bad that somebody decided to steal my everything including the receipt that I had. I mean where the hell is the compassion? Word is bond right? I apologize that there's others in the world f** it up for people that are really going through something but guess what I'm really going through something and the something is all of my stuff was stolen so my bad at this point I can't reduce a receipt but again where's your compassion? Did you even hear me say that all of my belongings were stolen...

Oh no I usually don't want to get on here and complain and it takes something really to rub me the wrong way and this definitely has rubbed me the wrong way you got me running in circles over some fried green beans that should just be replaced I mean what is the problem? I know what the problem is everybody else is messing it up for all the good kids in the class well that's okay because you don't have to worry about me spending any more of my money...

For some reason I hold a special place in my heart for the humble restaurants that have been around for decades serving neighborhood customers. Most often, their longevity is indicative of the service they provide to the local community. Wedgwood Broiler is that kind of place. The restaurant’s 60s and 70s interior design, dim, jaundiced lighting, and wooden/laminate wall materials give me a lot of nostalgia for a time period in which I didn’t even exist. I do however remember visiting places like these a couple decades ago all the time. Probably since it’s now 2019 as of this review, I’m far enough removed from the 60s and 70s and actually appreciate these kinds of places because they are dying breed. Before I wax poetic even further, I’ll say the service was wonderful. I believe our waitress was Denise and she was kind and considerate. We had a dietary restriction at the table and I saw as she talked to the chefs ensuring that we could get our dishes without any issue. She went into the kitchen to verify personally that the food was suitable for us. I appreciated it immensely. I ended up ordering splitting the chicken wings and then ordering a patty melt for myself. The chicken wings were a little salty but I was impressed with the crispy coating they managed to get. As for the patty melt, it’s exactly what you’d expect at a place like this and exactly what I was looking for. It was greasy and meaty and satisfying. The burger patty was cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions were cooked nicely. The bread as well was toasted and ensured that the sandwich did not fall apart. Overall, I’m very glad I visited. I had only known about this place for a few years, but I was almost like I’d been a regular. I hope this place continues to feed...

Poor service, dismissive, value for money - just a bad Monday. 1 long-term waitress/ on-site manager only - for a popular though dated and loved establishment. Staff seems to be attentive to table in dining room, started with 1 and grew to 7. 3 patrons at the bar, including me. Waitress attention was overwhelmed by this table of patrons (importance unknown) and the rest had to wait. Waiting an inordinate amount of time; and staff appeared a bit cliquish. When she did return, she dismissed orders that were clearly economical. Ordered a Manhattan, and she went away and brought me her choice. Never got a chance to ask for my choice of whisky, nor how served (straight up or over ice). Instead of having dessert, I asked Erin, so, how do you think this all went? She replied, what are you talking about? THAT is where Clueless (as opposed to sleepless) in Seattle came from. I'm not on retainer and get nothing for my reviews, now covering worldwide for over 15 years. Establishment has been there 55 years, so maybe not enough employees that night? RECOMMENDATIONS: if going on an off time/ night, then engage wait staff ASAP and determine for yourself if they are responsive to newcomers. Else, leave for some...
