I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Food quality is excellent this time and every other time I have shown up unannounced. Same tasty consistency every time. Luckily for my wife and I we arrived for a birthday dinner before the place loaded up. And it does, trust me. Another thing I noticed was the take out business is huge here. Bigger than I had ever realized. Another thing during our dinner some of the takeout guests asked us what we had on our table. Very friendly occasion. Mongolian Beef, very tender and the sauce was like velvety consistency. Salt and Pepper crispy tofu, one inch cubes, slight hint of salt and pepper with a golden brown slightly crispy crunchy exterior. Pad Thai with Prawns were very flavorful blended with the noodles and sauce. String Beans were fantastic. The bean were cooked perfectly glazed yet surprisingly crispy with a snap in each bite. Since the wife is on a big health kick, for me??? Lastly Brown Rice. This restaurant staple tells all about a place. They either know how to cook it, or they don't! This place does, trust me. Just right moisture content, freshly cooked. Mixed in with the meal when I spread it about my plate. Uncle Lee's was written up in the Seattle Times making it to the Top 30 restaurants in Washington State with each spoonful I...
Read morePicked up dinner, General Tso's chicken and pork lo mein. Also got some sauteed string beans. The staff were very nice and friendly. The food was really meh. The sauce on the chicken was bland, the batter got soggy and sloughed off even after ten to fifteen minutes in the box, and they used very large pieces of chicken thigh. Most restaurants use chicken breast and cut it up smaller, which gives a better crust to meat ratio. The lo mein also was not particularly flavorful, and appeared to have been made with thin spaghetti noodles. And the green beans were overcooked and did not have that wok hai smoky flavor. The kicker was that Uncle Lee's is priced like a steakhouse. The walnut prawns, for instance, are $23, and the lo mein was about $15. It may be that the restaurant is located right next to windemere and rent is high, but it's really not...
Read moreMy mom lives up the road and has for the past 15+ years. We've been go Gretchens coffee around the corner and the plant store a million times. But never have I even heard of this place! We decided we wanted to support Asian owned restaurants right now during the corona outbreak so we googled Chinese places in the area and found this. I'm shocked I've never even heard of it or come across it. Anyways, it was delicious! Owned by one guy- I assumed his name is Lee. He was very friendly. The food was delicious, very clean and nice place. Only knocked 1 star cause it was a little expensive. $50 for 2 to go to lunch and we just got 1 entree each and an appetizer, nothing else. The appetizers are as expensive if not more than the dishes. Regardless, it was delicious and nearby and I would...
